Master Legal Blackline in Word: The Ultimate Guide

Legal blackline is a feature in Microsoft Word that allows you to compare two documents and see the differences between them. It is useful for lawyers, editors, and anyone who needs to track changes in a document. Here are the steps to do legal blackline in Word:
1. Open the two documents that you want to compare. You can use any file format that Word can open, such as .docx, .pdf, or .txt.
2. On the Review tab, in the Compare group, click Compare.
3. In the Compare Documents dialog box, choose the original document and the revised document from the drop-down menus. You can also browse for the files by clicking the folder icons.
4. Under Show changes, select Legal blackline. This will show only the differences between the two documents, without any comments or formatting changes.
5. Under Show changes in, you can choose whether to show the changes in a new document, the original document, or the revised document. You can also choose to show changes at the character level or the word level.
