I have both the Ferrari 27 and the Ferrari 49, little cosmetic damage to paint, scratches from normal usage. They have been together their whole lives. I started collecting vintage RC both hobby and toy grade, have about 30 now.
That thing is great. I miss the old days of rc cars like that. I shouldn't miss those days because I have rc cars that can out accelerate my actual car to 60 MPH now, but I really miss those days still.
I was into collecting old Radio Shack rc's few years ago. I have this one and like yours i recieved in a original box but never could get it to steer right consistently.
My first rc was a Sears diehard silver vw golf race car i thought it was the coolest car even though it had one channel one button squeeze the button and it would go forward let go and it would go left in reverse i couldn’t take it outside because I would get so much interference from cb radio and police radio traffic i lived around the corner from a interstate highway it wasn’t fast enough to go up a ramp and jump but for a 10 year old it was cool lol
I just picked up the same one today in Columbus Ohio, brand new in the box for $20. I wonder if there was a back supply of these and they are just hitting the market somehow. Where are you located?
I have a few Nikko’s and more radio shacks on my eBay watchlist. I also just got another radio shack buggy delivered the other day so I’ll make a video on that soon. If I get any Tamiyas it will be unbuilt kits so I can put them together.
I have a few of the Lamborghini’s on my watch list. The yellow #8 and the silver #2 are the ones I plan on getting. I also am waiting on finding a good parts car to rebuild the Porsche 928 from 1980.
@@ReadytoRunRC the 30amp esc’s meant for a wpl that don’t have a case work really good to do hobby grade conversions cause they are 1-1/4x1-1/4 and take up very little room. Can usually get 2 for like 13 bucks. Looking forward to more of your retro rc’s. I just picked up a rare gem that’ll be on sometime soon. It goes along the lines of my radio shack /Tamiya qd monster trucks..
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers good info. Thanks for passing that along. I just recently started getting into the vintage stuff so I don’t have a lot on hand at the moment to make videos with but I’m working on getting a nice collection going. I will definitely be doing some brushless upgrades on anything I have leftover from any restorations. Can’t wait to see the gem you picked up.

That’s awesome! I have been collecting them but haven’t bought any recently. I should get back into it.
Thank you for sharing this video my brother. I am going to put this video on my playlist "80/90s nostalgia". Good memories
Thanks for checking it out. I was having 80’s/90’s Nostalgia when I decided to start putting vintage rc videos on the channel.
Fun fact, there are still a few radio shack left. great walks down member lane! great find. thanks for the share stay awesome.
I did not know that. I have another radio shack rc waiting to be unboxed. It’s a buggy this time. Thanks for watching!
Esta super bonito 😮!! Saludos de Ciudad de México.

I miss those days too. They are slow as can be but I just love the nostalgic feeling they give me.
@@ReadytoRunRC yep, they l felt special back then. Happy holidays to you and your family
Radio Shack used to make RC cars? Well this is new to me ❤🔥+ nice video my bro ❤
Yes, thanks!
Love the vintage stuff. I still have my RC10T3, and Schumacher SST 2000.
More on the way. Mostly toy grade though. But that’s awesome you still have yours. Those are some pretty cool RC’s.
@@ReadytoRunRC the 2 I wish I would have held onto were the original Clod Buster, and the gold pan RC10 from the 80’s.

@@jaredharris1970 I’ve had a few of those turn in reverse RC’s growing up and yeah you’re right, I thought the same how awesome it was to have an RC.
I still have mine, as I'm from Portugal Europe, they came with the number 2, they weren't from Radio Shack... the sticker says Radcon

That’s a nice find. I’m in PA near Hershey.
Do you have vintage '80s cars too you should get Tamiya and kyosho. As well as Nikko.
