The crazy thing is I don't think anyone appreciates how important it was for Elon to back Gina and why he stepped up. Sure he has a vendetta against Disney but he recognized that if Gina's family couldn't financially and publicly afford to help her go after Disney it would have to be someone with IDGAF about my reputation and level of money to back her.
Elon Musk said this case is personal for him, that's why he backs Gina. I think he will not let Gina settle even if he himself has to match Disney's offer

It’s like you know who you’re dealing with if they try and paint Gina as a villain.
When dealing with discrimination of this scale with this big of a company, NEVER settle. An out of court settlement, while a seemingly sizeable victory for you, is actually a very big victory for the ''loser'' that has to cough it all up. You keep pushing, if you have the money - KEEP PUSHING. Force them to change every policy they have, make them pay in more than just monetary form. NEVER SETTLE. This is not a case between two equally strong private persons. This is a little person vs. a massive company with WEF funding.
I hope she walks away with nine figures.
But her family is rich, so she should be okay regardless.

Anyone following this story probably has encountered the "Disney just didn't renew her contract" canard.
In response, I spent all of 20 minutes reading California employment law. It has a literal clause that states a plantiff can sue if they feel their contract wasn't renewed due to their political speech.
If Gina actually said anything so vile as to warrant a discontinuation of contract, Disney could have fired her on the spot for violating morality or decency clauses essentially all of these professional contracts have.
Instead, Disney simultaneously had to think that the vileness of saying "political hatred is bad, m'kay." Wasn't bad enough to fire immediately but also not worth contract renewal extension or renegotiation.
I hope Gina brings in more people into the lawsuit and make it bigger and BIGGER. Take down Disney! You go Gina! We stand with Gina!
We should manage expectations. Yes, the case currently moves forward is a win for Gina, but until discovery actually happens it isn't a win. The ruling doesn't say Gina was right and Disney wrong on the merits; it just means Disney didn't provide a sufficient argument to toss the case. What happens moving forward will largely depend on Elon's continued financial support. Without it, there isn't a grassroots legal financial fund. This is a blip in Disney's cash burning bin, so KK getting fired or resigning would be nonsensical. They could just nix season 2 of The Acolyte to fund this legal battle and still have loads of Vanguard and Blackrock money left over to burn after paying off Gina $10m-$20m without admitting wrongdoing.
I stand with Gina (from before I knew she was from a rich family). Dana White mentioned this... She is from a wealthy family. That's why she could stand against this for three and a half years. Noone below the line could have made this happen. We need more of the rich like Gina and Elon, taking a stand for what is right.
I would hope she also has some savings (and hopefully investments) from the money She earned fighting and in hollywood (prior to disney) ... she maybe from a rich family but shes not just some rich princess who never worked
