Saw them 4 or 5 times. Not enough! It's difficult to describe for those who never had the change to see them live. It's simply amazing!
@@zephirusvideosOne time I saw them was extra special. They played the Lowlands festival in the Netherlands and something magical happened. The huge tent was completely silent and mesmerised. After the show, grown men fell into eachothers arms, crying. Best concert I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of shows in my life.
This song is to check if we are still humans. Their performance makes you experience feelings. So whenever you feel dead inside listen to this and youre back to life. Its all there: love hope,despair,anger, darkness and light.

I was in the crowd at this show, it was unbelievable. They usually end their shows with this song and I always imagine that you drive on the endless snowy plains of Iceland. All peacefull, but cold and a bit isolated. Then the weather is changing, the grey clouds replace the blue skies and the wind is increasing, but you keep driving. In the end you find yourself in the worst snowstorm you have ever experienced.
In the old days Sigur Rós litterally ended this song with a snowstorm: big ventilators blew tons of white paper into the audience and took away the view. When the ‘snow’ was gone, the band was gone off stage. Unforgettable experience. Sigur Rós is one of my favourite live bands.

Seen Sigur Ros live in concert 2 times : First time as support for Radiohead on their OK Computer tour (Werchter, Belgium) just after Agaetis Byrjun was released, second a show of their own in Vorst Nationaal, Belgium. I can assure you, their music goes right through your body!! Never seen so many people cry at a gig just by the pure emotion going out of Sigur Ros' music. Love it.
I really hope you got to see them in concert? I've seen them so many times in different venues and it really is mind blowing. It's more than music....

You must definitely watch the DVD "Takk" from Sigur Ros. It had my jaw dropped from the first to the last second when I watched it. Beautiful soundtrack about their Journey along the most desolate parts of Iceland. Do it! You'll love it...
