I like how your videos get straight to the point without all of the added nonsense that other channels have, great work mate!

I am all about no non-sense videos on here. I like videos being to the point because it saves viewer's time and it is easier to learn a concept when the video stays on point.

Great videos, succinct and to the point. I'm wondering if you would be willing to create a full flight tutorial on the 747-8? I've been piecing together information from multiple sources, and it's a little overwhelming. It would be super helpful to get one video that covers an entire flight, including how to set up the FMC. I'm currently using origin and destination only for my flight plans, because I don't understand how to decide on, and enter waypoints etc. I suppose the video could exclude the cruise portion, since it should be fairly straightforward.

You mean from startup to shutdown and everything in between? I have not done that yet because there are so many flaws with the default airplanes. I don't fly the B747 enough but I will consider it in the future. I do have a video on how to enter waypoints and how to make changes to the route in the FMC. th-cam.com/video/tlN2sGhnNzE/w-d-xo.html
When you're done with that one, here is one on Autobrakes: th-cam.com/video/xhaU3yo7vSg/w-d-xo.html

Sure! I almost didn't put this video out but I am glad it is helpful. I did it yesterday and sat on it until today.

Good stuff - always like how you focus on the lesson and not the sim :)

Thanks. I never thought of it like that but you are right. It is a lot of fun to do. Lots of work, but it's enjoyable.

Thanks. This helps a lot. I was using VS and can see I was doing it wrong.

Glad it helps. I thought long and hard about even publishing this video but I think it will help some people out.

And you can use VS but you have to do a little more monitoring of the airspeed. In real life, I use VS as FLC is not very smooth.

Hmm what about the game being fussy about 180kt below 10k feet? Are climbs exempt from that rule in real life?

What do you mean by 180 knots below 10,000? Does ATC in FS2020 request that? Most of the time the speed limit below 10,000 feet is 250 knots with a few exceptions where it is 200 knots or if a departure procedure has a speed restriction in rea life. If an airplane cannot go that slow they need to notify ATC. I have a friend that flew 747s and she said they would routinely exceed the 250 knot restriction below 10,000 feet when they were heavy.

In the United States we have a transition altitude of 18,000 other countries use a different transition altitude of say 7000 feet. And some times 8000 feet. As far as the 10,000 foot altitude we have a speed restriction of not greater than 250 knots below 10,000 feet.
If ATC requested 180 knots you would have the airplane configured with slats extended and perhaps flaps at 15, not knowing the actual flap schedule it is only a guess.😁🛫
