Nothing but a phony hater narrative. At no point did he say he wasn't fighting American Benavidez because he's Mexican or rule out fighting Mexicans period. He said he wouldn't go out of his way to target Mexicans who have no business being in the ring with him. It was Benavidez who took himself out of the unification picture by dumping his belt. And the talk of him fighting Munguia are just baseless rumors, Canelo never said anything about that fight. But even if you go by rumors, the rumors were that he's fighting Munguia and Benavidez after, so what are you complaining about? Next people will say he's ducking Asians.

Canelo unified 3 titles plus the Ring at 160, became 168 undisputed, and challenged 2 champs at 175, plus several defenses while fighting 9 reigning champs, 2 mandatories, and another top 10 total in the same span of time it took Bud and Spence to make one unification and Bivol and Beterbiev are 6 years and counting and still haven't faced each other. But the guy who's not doing enough work according to Paulie is the guy who's been doing more work than anyone.

I noticed the early weigh in this year well at least the fights in Las Vegas when fighters hit the scale with pants and what not. They took a page from the UFC but honestly I don't know if they both have to agree to it or if it's law now but it works to the less dedicated fighters and it's an advantage to some

I agree 100% with Paulie. The biggest issue for Andrade is that he fades in the later rounds. Benavidez will keep his foot on the gas throughout the whole fight. So I think this fight favors Benavidez.

Got Benevidez 60 percent chance he does decent early and turns up the gas after round 6 and better on score cards. I can't see Andrade taking advantage of the early rounds with his early start advantage and gonna be like 8-4 or 7-5 and 116-113. Andrade got power but I can't see him capitalizing on his power and Benevidez going to outsmart him early and take few rounds early and capalizing late rounds hard. Andrade is terrible fighting on his back foot and style wise it benefits both and when fighting under pressure doesn't throw enough counters to capitalize on Benevidez agression. He doesn't turn while throwing angles, he's opposite of Crawford. Boo Boo fights best against conventional boxers who don't game plan and Boo Boo figures them out.

In my opinion, there's an 'elephant in the room'. In Team B interviews, etc, they've been edgy and boggly-eyed. They both look ramped up on 100 Red Bulls or something advantageous to their cause. In particular, Jose Jnr is off the charts ..... what is his problem? They may have overtrained and be tired, but that would likely have a different look. And that's why they don't get my vote.

Have you watched them spare sir ?? He has spared both before and Bivol more then a hand full of times and from what evryone says is that Bivol will never fight him i heard he was domanated everytime! Overrated matches Saturday night
So when David was making some noise a few years ago he and Canelo never talked about fighting each other and always said positive things about each other when being interviewed. It was pretty obvious that their respect for each other was pretty high. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that they may not fight each other in this next fight.
That said, Andrade is an easier fight for Canelo and I do believe Canelo knows the dangers in fighting David. But also, Andrade won’t generate the amount of views that Munguía will so it seems pretty obvious why Canelo may not fight the winner of today. But who knows.

Initial thought-This won’t be competitive. I mean I hope after Andrade gets touched he tries to get some get back. He’s a big guy, so he’s a big target. His slick style is going to account for jack if there’s no effective offense flowing in there. I think this is going to be another steamroll but I’d prefer to see David keep a tight guard while working off the jab and start varying his speed and power.

Paulie being a Canelo hater as usual. The Munguia talk were only rumors probably started by Golden Boy, because why would Hearn give Oscar's fighter a shot when he's got his own stable? But even if you went by rumors, the rumor was Munguia then the winner of this fight so what are you complaining about? And did he claim Canelo's not taking the big fights when he's been fighting more champs than anyone? Crawford who Paulie always praises and many have as current p4p #1 went 5 straight years prior to Spence without facing a reigning champ and only fights once a year period. Canelo during that time fought reigning champs, GGG, Jacobs, Kovalev, Smith, Plant, Sanders, Bivol, GGG, and Mell while fighting across 3 divisions, plus 2 mandatories and another top 10. The biggest knock against Canelo is that he didn't clone himself and fight everyone at once. Andrade never fought 1 champ period and Benavidez's only notable win in 10 years at super middle is going the distance with one of his leftovers this march.
Canelo did all the heavy lifting at 168 and is the first 4 belt undisputed in the history of the division when there hadn't even been a unification there since 13. Prior to his entering the picture the champs remained in their separate corners and Benavidez was the main culprit who twice dumped his belt after rejecting a Plant unification and never fighting his mandatories Callum Smith and Yildirim then rejected another title fight at 175. And Andrade has no notable wins period from ducking and pulling out of every step up fight including a mandatory title shot at Canelo. Mandatory isn't due with Benavidez only taking his eliminator this march, so again, what's Paulie complaining about?
Bottomline, fighters want to get paid like Canelo but they won't put in the work or take the same risks. Notice neither is trying to upstage Canelo and prove they can do better by challenging Bivol like he did?

When Canelo wanted a shot at Floyd, he didn't whine and cry saying he's owed that fight because he calls himself a monster. He went and unified the other top fighter in the division trout, and brought the WBC, WBA and Ring titles to the table, agreed to lowball money despite his huge fanbase and even moved down to a catchweight to defend his own belts. On the other hand, Benavidez rejected a Plant unification, never fought his mandatories, and dumped his belt blowing weight, then rejected another 175 title shot just to cherrypick randos like Ellis and a washed Lemieux. To summarize, Canelo unified titles and cut weight whereas David dumped belts, ducked champs and blew weight, yet claims he's owed retirement pay for it lol. By the way, after the Floyd fight, Canelo went on to face Lara who Andrade, GGG and Floyd all swerved, still at only age 23.
Fact is, Canelo took the fights Benavidez swerved. The only reason he's finally starting to step it up is because Canelo called him out for expecting a payday for sitting around as he does all the work. And he's still not trying to match Canelo's energy. He fought Plant after Canelo already took him out and next fighting a guy who has no experience vs champs even in the lower divisions when if he was really looking for the biggest challenge and to upstage Canelo, he'd face Bivol, or at least Morrell.
