I think there must be some kind of consumer demand for laces to be left in (time factor) during shines in NY. If there were more demand to remove them, you'd see more shiners do it.

Good shine. Bottom line, your shoes looked a lot better at the end of the service than they did at the beginning.
some sock protectors and taking off the laces would be nice
sock protecters really is asking for to much. yes i agree be nice same for a ladder cleaning. but i feel as these shoe shinings just see that as to much work. thats alot alot of these shines suck. yes some are goo, but Eddies yes still no sock protecters but over all is by far the best shoe shiner there out right is in new york, never will ever be as good as Eddies out of the shoe shiners Chris goes too
There seemed to be very little polish applied and lots of rubbing on the old polish.
i go back 10 out of 10 when i rate these shiners chris goes too. off the back - 1 for not removing shoe laces, - 1 that clean out right sucked does not fully remove old product, -1 using black ax afther the brown stuff, you only need to use one. - 1 sprawing the show with water afther putting the brown wax on - 1 took a while to do i feel as if this was a 10 minute shine i'd be better on it but no it was not. it was full blown lazy in my eyes, how ever + 1 shoe was shiny, + 1 did in fact cover both shoes with products, +1 did in fact run the product in, this is also the only time i think water is good to put on product helps mix it and bring the shine outnow i always start with a base of 2 points. from there is where the points stay at 2 or go up, over all this is a 5 out of 10 shine. so its mid tier shine

She's just going through the motions of a shoe shine without knowing how to shine a shoe. Which is the same for about 90% of them.
