My 1970 Chevy El Camino came out of this shrine to old automotive iron back in April, 2017 on a clear Texas title. It took about two or so years of restoration but its running well and looking good now.
A very close friend had a vintage/classics yard in Lake City FL. When he passed away, his two sons crushed every vehicle in it and sold it all as scrap metal. One of the cars was a 1970 429 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler that was 99% all there and near rust free.
My favorite old car junkyard! I miss being able to walk around the yard tho, but I understand times change. And even tho we don't live in Texas anymore I still browse their website to see what full cars they have for sale❤
I bought a L OT of parts for my '54 Olds 98 there...the owners always treated me well...the prices were high, but in my case it was often the only game in play.
that was a six cylnder not a straight 8, the wife was working down that way a few years back, were from michigan I'd like to live at the end of that road a junkyard and a dragstrip what more could a guy ask for , thanks for the video
That 55 Pontiac that you called a Packard has the rear window moldings you need; 55-57 Chevy and Pontiac 2 dr hardtop rear glass and moldings interchange.....

You guys are passing up a Great Investment out of that yard... I saw at least 2 Datsun/Nissan 240 Z in there. Those cars are having a huge resurgence in the JDM car community and they are going for thousands of dollars. And i'm not talking about 3 to 6 thousand. I've seen some up close to 30 thousand. You guys should rescue one of those restore it and get you money's worth
Easier said than done. Potential buyers are a lot fewer and in between than they used to be. And they nitpick a lot. Finally there’s Logistics the Gorilla in the room.
Went there once. They swore they had zero monte carlo taillights. So they escorted me out. There were 4 pairs 300.00 a pair. No negotiating. I walked out.
yeah... I bought a condenser and some ac lines for my 70 Superbee. its the same as a 4 door or other B bodies.. they heard super bee and went up on the price. I ordered the parts, they came mechanically damaged inside of the box. refused to be responsible for it. and the said shipper should have packed it better. beware of this place! ended up costing me 600 for most of the parts I needed.
I'm pretty sure that the rear window stainless trim that you're looking for for you '57 Chevy hardtop is identical to the trim on that 55-56 Pontiac hardtop you walked past at 7:25 in the video.

If they were willing to work with a guy, several of those rigs, like that super sled, sixty olds two door hardtop at the very first was a sweet dream. Yeah they are big but what a rig when fixed up. I would love to do a older ford as in the forty models, two doors are the best for me to go from inside out. I would use like a wildcat frame and running gear with the old ford or mercury body and just build the mounts and go from there. If he would only let a man pick from parts side that you can't go on. I can't remember what car it was but it had good floors and a four speed transmission hole in the floor. Guy could separate the body from the frame and floorboards so that a old body could be set on and tack welded to a newer car ...possibilities are unlimited

With those three crowns on the grille, I think it is a Crysler Imperial Wagon - which would be the top of the line. Indeed RARE by today's standards. Everything on those would be unique to that model and quite difficult to source.

Is anything for sale. the mystery car is a 1968 to 71 car with a few names,in Australia they were called valiant VF to VG series Hardtop and made in australia.. in America it could be a dodge or plymouth Dart badged swinger,, some had 383,s 318,s or slant or straight 6,, the Aussie version came in 318 V8 215,ci 225ci,245ci Hemi 6 cyl,, yes Hemi 6 cyl the Aussie cars had 2 different roof lines,, some were called Mexican models... The yellow car beside the Catalina is an Austin/ Morris 1100 from England, The Jag is a series 2 xj6 70,s , someone has put a Chev V8 in it i saw the engine,, regardless of the jaguar engraved rocker covers.

My only dealing with CTC was a few years ago when they shipped me a steering column for a 1968 Impala. The price was high, but I needed the part. After assuring me the part was high quality, they sent me a steering column from a car that had obviously been in a front end collision. Just a bent up piece of crap.
There are several steering column specialists out there now. That sell refurbished classic era columns. “Columns Galore” is one that comes to mind. Believe they’re in New York State.
I drove by there on my semi then looked them up online and didn't see anything I was interested in. Dave's classic cars in glenarm Illinois has a more in demand selection

Ya,the owner wasn't very helpful and wasn't sure what he had, here in California the salvage yards take you out were the vehicle is, and if the parts not there they call all around to get what you're looking for, I guess there wasn't any money for him, he wanted the business. 🤠

One of the first cars you talk about (with the gray primer) looked to me to be a '67 or '68 Dodge Dart.

67-69 Dart. And there was also a 70-72 Dart later in the video.
