Thank you for letting Dolloff preview your family's establishment. The place is amazing and i'm sure you'll get more business from this video. Is this a self-serve yard or does your employees go out to the yard and pick the part for the customer?
I'm new to the area and live in Bayard. Don't really need any parts right now, have what I need for my 59 Willys and 58 Edsel wagon projects. Great to know you're close by!!
Great video . I remember going to Alliance in the 90s and seeing some amazing rust free 50’s metal . I’ve always wanted to go back . Thanks for posting
This place is HUGE!!! I could walk around that property for days and not get bored. I'm mostly a car guy but the older Japanese trucks and conversion vans are some of my favorites. I'm so glad that Dolloff always educates us on the areas that he visits. I have never heard of the Sandhills part of Nebraska and why the ground there is so great for rust free older vehicles. It seems that South Dakota and Nebraska seem to be the two states with the best inventory due to the terrain and climate. These videos serve as a form of history and marketing as now i know who to call if i need rust free parts. Well, after calling Dolloff first ofcourse! 😜
I really appreciate your videos. Love the long format and the commentary, I learn something new every time I watch. Keep up the great work! The yard is amazing btw.
Greetings from Australia. What an amazing day for you wandering miles looking at stuff you love. Thankyou for showing us such a huge variety of vehicles and not falling over anything in the grass while you try to keep focused on everything and try to please everybody at once. Did you find anything to make a dollar with? Thats obviously why you out there, something to take back to your yard.. i have watched you out in the middle of nowhere before and you came to a spot and said we took the vehicle that was parked here.. A very well made show with just enough knowledge to not get boring. This is a 56 wagon covers it as we are looking at it.. please make more of these and take care in the long grass..
My favourite yrs are mid 50s to early 70s cars an 67 to 84 pickups i like a lot of different models from ford an gm an chrysler we got a few of the you had there. Cheers mate🇦🇺
That Ford sedan cut down and converted into a pickup is historically significant. Most of these were done in WW2 when gasoline was rationed. Farmers could get more fuel stamps if they had another truck .They were considered essential to food production for the war effort. And that one is sitting in farm country so it adds up. I've seen others too. A early 30s Tudor sedan rear body wall makes a pretty good rear cab wall.
Watching your show in Sandy Valley I think it was called you passed up a four-door Buick 59 what style of Buick was at of a saber Ventura Electra or Electra 225
@shanefluhr6454 some places we go the people don't want me to say where they are and others are fine with it. Nothing i can do about that. This one for example we tell you who and where so it's up to you from this point to get out there and buy something.
great video and excellent content. That's what old car salvage yards used to be like. I've been looking for a '64 thru '67 Olds vista cruiser or Buick sport wagon but I don't want to destroy a restorable example. This looks like a good candidate for what I'm doing. Any thoughts on it being for sale? Thanks again for almost 2 hours of great content as always I love your tours
@choppedmercury9826 I think most of them are for sale. You can contact Taylor's and find out if you want to. Thanks for watching and positive comments.
Great video, I would love to walk that yard taking photos we just don’t have these places here in 🇬🇧, amazing how solid many of them look, what’s the prices like ?.
@@DolloffAntiquesthanks for your reply, unfortunately it would not be possible to get a vehicle and ship it and then recommission it the costs would not make financial sense, but would be here at to come up your way sometime and have a walk round, I did it with my father in 🇬🇧 when I was young and it’s something I have Enjoyed since but now all gone in 🇬🇧, have done some places in 🇺🇸 like Hershey, Back to 50s and went to Desert auto valley in Pheonix years ago, but this yard would be a great visit 👍👍
I would like to restore one of those 56 Ford station wagons and I would also like to find me a 1957 Chevrolet pickup truck just to make me a daily driver out of
Hershey is bigger and older stuff. Carlisle is mostly muscle cars and post war stuff. They are only 35 miles apart and a couple days apart so you can hit both at the same time
hello, i’m one of doug’s kids, we’re so glad you could come out and have a look around. hopefully you had fun and enjoyed!
@hayedontaylor1028 yes we had a blast! Lots of great stuff. Thanks for having us!

I sure like to see more 46 Ford cars
Great video. More junk please 😂
I liked the early Plymouth fastback. Could be a sleeper
I have a 1959 Buick Electra 4-door that has Rusty quarters and Hood and Floors
I like the 5556 Fords but I like to put Chevrolet motors and transmissions in them I use the front sump off of Chevy too and put 350s in them or 327s
Good video. Amazing place and good knowledge on your part. Also glad you made it to Iola in my home state this year.
@brian64ss55 thank you! Yes iola is one of my favorite places to go every year.
Is this Heaven?
No, it's Nebraska...
There's enough loot in that yard a guy should be able to build a treasure like Johnny Cash did one piece at a time.

Yes
I’m see a lot of good metal
I wish you would show more of the 70's and 80's cars and trucks. Great video tho still.
I saw a 61 white Ford Galaxie 2 dr . Man I would like to check it out more.. good Job.
I quit watching your channel some time ago every place you went was top secret No information no phone numbers Thanks for this

the bicycle is a higgins x53 made from 54 through 57
I’m watching for a 54 early 55 gmc big truck front clip for a project I have on back burner for now.
I think I seen a Plymouth arrow it's been a while

I will try when I see some. Did you see the cool jeep in the 2024 iola swap meet video we did?
The stepping on the grass makes it authentic. It doesn’t bother me.

When you saw that Buick or pass that Buick was in alliance Nebraska
@@winfordtice1969 I didn't notice what model it was but you can contact them if you want to
Why do they call those 4950 Ford car shoe boxes
I think because of the shape of the body with the long slab sides and skinny body. Much different than the previous years.
Do they get pack rats there? I noticed anything around Kansas Oklahoma is full of rats if it sits.
Not that I have noticed yet
@@DolloffAntiques ok well that’s good 👍
The 58 Ford double headlights has a hood scoop on the hood a 59 does not that's how you tell the difference between 58 and 59 Ford Fairlane
How tall is Taylor Lynn of the 58 and 59 are totally different the 57 Ford round tail lights repeat itself in 59 but bigger
Yes junkyard walks or great even better when you can give the junkyards location and name phone number if possible 👍👌
Yes some places allow us to do so and others don't so we do what we can
Is that yellow 55 Chevy truck for sale in the background there
What state is this and where is it
Taylors Auto Salvage Alliance Nebraska
I know exactly where this yard is at! I live straight up the highway in south dakota
