Her first album still gets played in my household like it came out last week. You just press play and let it go. Her voice is so pretty and agile. I'm not even a singer and I studied her voice. I know every riff, run, high note, low note, you name it, I know it. She is gifted.
Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige was telling us, the listeners, their stories in their music. That's why it's wise to listen and read between the lines on what was really going on with these two women. Their songs were about love, pain, sorrow and joy. They both have swagger about they selves and they got voices. Both of them are my favorite singers.
The have beef cause puffy wanted to make faith the 2nd mj blige. And who she singing it for biggie or pac. Dig ppl. She played both. Always loved pac more then biggie. 97 biggie dead 98 remarried. Whats the love. Gold digger
All was right with the world when this Album/CD came out. So many ladies, many different flavors were rocking this look and damn it felt good to see a beautiful woman singing the hell out of this song. Bad Boy was killing it. Faith was singing like the world was about to end, and Biggie was on top...then shit just feel apart. People always wonder why we talk about the 90's and music. Listen to this album or anything that came out during this time and hear your answer.
I love the soul in her voice and how she holds her notes effortlessly. She sang her heart out in every song on the "Faith" album in "95 & I feel the same way about "There's somthing about Faith" in 2010! Thumbs up for Faith for consistency!
The Hip-Hop and R&B style was so different at this time. Look at Faiths class and sophistication, I know it was the Ghetto fabulous thing to do at the time. Emulating wealthy white lifestyles, but being 13 at the time I would have assumed she was in her thirties meanwhile she is only twenty three. Artist were so much more mature then, across the board, everyone wanted to be grown back then. Now everyone wants to be a teenager.
I don't understand how Faith can be underrated...really, she has a beautiful voice and back then she had great music..she should have been as big as Mary! I still love them both tho..but if I had to pick one i would got with Faith...her voice is awesome!
niggas is sleeping on this classic right here. I was about 8 when this came out. I couldn't escape this song. everywhere I went this song was played. primarily by my mom and aunt.
OMG! This reminds me of me and my mother. She played the hell outta this song and sang it to my pops like ALL the time lol. I'd chill with her all weekend and after our shopping trips, out would come the sweeties and her fave jams and she'd play them loud and sing them to me, but THIS was her favourite. I was so in awe of her. I love you Mummy and i'm upset that you didnt do anything with that voice of yours. God Bless and THANKYOU for being such a strong woman even in the face of adversity! xx
+IamMe UAreU Faith's first album and Mary J's My life are my top two favorites for sure. I am still jamming to both everyday in 2016 and haven't gotten tired yet.
I loved this album!!! I can hear the progression of her vocal talents from this debut album up to the present and her vocal talent NOW trumps the debut album by spades!! Their is just a pureness in Faith's voice that sets her apart from many.
I've listened to this song since I was a little kid! And when I finally understood the lyrics and stopped just listening to the music, tears flowed freely because this song is so beautiful! Explains a lot of what I'm feeling about a certain guy! LOL! Faith knows!
Per Kelly Price, Faith is working on a new album and it's set to come out this fall. Don't know about ya but i can't WAIT to buy it! This lady right here was and is STILL one of the best in the game. REAL music makin a comeback

i cant believe the music in the 90's was so great. im 14 & i actually do think that the music now is not actaully great like how it was in the 90's. someone needs to bring the old back to new.
Yeah, Faith's debut album was one of those albums where you could play the whole cd straight through, no need to skip a track. That was the case for a lot of albums in the 90s tho, not so much now. This is one of my favorite songs from that cd.
This song here. Tha Truth. UHeardME! My high is listening to this song with my eyes close... Just a reminiscing bout my 1st Time I heard this lovely song....
Her first album still gets played in my household like it came out last week. You just press play and let it go. Her voice is so pretty and agile. I'm not even a singer and I studied her voice. I know every riff, run, high note, low note, you name it, I know it. She is gifted.

Love this song by Faith Evans...I hear the pain. Yes, she was in love. I never knew you would play games with my mind ... Real lyrics
I love the soul in her voice and how she holds her notes effortlessly. She sang her heart out in every song on the "Faith" album in "95 & I feel the same way about "There's somthing about Faith" in 2010!

I was Only 17 when this came out. Ahh the good old days, When music was worth listening to.
By far , Faith's 1st Cd was her best and it's a classic. The R&B of the 90's can't be touched by trodays R&B.
Those were the days! You could hear her pain in all of her songs....at least I could! Nobody can sing like a woman scorned, but she could sing anyhow!
cannot play around with this track so sick, beautiful like faith herself had a big crush on faith way back then and still do
