- How to safely cut oak & ash firewood blocks while on steep hillside. Finally the weather broke and my log supplier Mike was able to head back into the neighbors woods to cut some wood for me. I took him to an area where I knew there was a large pile of logs on a hillside.

I did have some company message me say they would give me a pair if I made a video using them.
Just don't want too see anybody get hurt.ive cut and sold wood. For ten years .I've had some close calls with widow makers.a friend who owns excavating company had a branch come threw his cab roof cut him good. Alot of dead ash up here in the thumb of mi. Have a good Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Maybe they could take a class or read a book by a professional to learn something about cutting wood before someone gets seriously injured. They sure haven't learned many of the basics through their experience. Love the videos.

Safely, NOT. Mike continues to play games. Luck will run out someday, just a matter of odds and time. You both aren't getting any younger, either. All the more reason to be even more careful.

We got up to about 38° then rain, everything is ice cover again. Snow Sunday night, Monday, about 3-4". Now snow Wednesday afternoon and night and Thursday 6-8" by the time it done. Then sub zero again for a few days. I may be snowed out of the woods

@@JoesFirewoodVideos you missed the part where the work was done safely. Basic safety rule number one is to never cut uphill of you in a steep slople. Basic safety rule number two is to never climb in a jack pile and cut around yourself. I could add more but you could care less about cutting safely.
