In New York, Brooklyn, my boyfriends parents are Cecilan (Island by booy of Italy) they LOVED FRANK SINATRA! Father drove a limo, got to drive Frank once, convinced him to call his wife, talk and sing to her!! Never forgot,
It is my understanding this song was written personally for Frank Sinatra by Paul Anka. a terrific songwriter and singer in that period. A wonderful song that Frank Sinatra was and sang.
Everyone who was born with a penis, must listen to the last line of this song! At a time when everybody is confused and scared to say the wrong things, we must have men stand up and say what they truly think.
I've loved Sinatra forever. But, I love his earlier music more than this song. Everyone reacts to this one but he is so much more than this. Thank you for reaction.
I think the earlier stuff makes you appreciate the weight of these lyrics for him. If there is even a just ok Sinatra song, I have not heard it. He could sing the phone book and it would chart.
@@Tijuanabill You are so correct. And, the Godfather scene about the singer who couldn't break free of the contract...that was Sinatra and Tommy Dorsey.
Thanks for sharing. If you have a second, I'm a jazz singer and I have posted a live jazz performance on my channel. As a fellow music fan, I'd love if you'd check it out. Hope you enjoy!
You should check out Elvis Presley's version of My Way. It will leave you speechless. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Elvis Presley will bring you to tears. You will really feel the emotion when Elvis sings this song. ♥
The ending orchestra always makes me cry. So many emotions
This song 🎵is 🎵the real man's national anthem 🙌👏It's what you want played at your funeral.

I just want to point out it’s written: Sicilian, not Cecilian, just so you know

That's two pretty big legends on one song.

Written by Paul Anka who had a recordings of his own.
You're right bro, were focusing on money and lust, this Sinatra song hits me different, very motivational

He made over 2,000 recordings so you’ve got a way to go yet. 👍🏻
I read that he did not want to do this song. Ironic given it is a much-loved song by him.
He used the best of the best musicians!
