What to do at 15-40 if you’re a lefty serving? You two are both lefties and this is a righty play. The kicker out wide in the deuce court isn’t an easy serve to hit. What do you recommend for the lefty server?
Where do you get these percentages? Most people I play with (up to the 4.5 level), barely win more service games than they lose. At what level does your service game become a consistent advantage?

I'm very sorry but I completely disagree with this serve +1 option. At 15-40 down you want a heavy body serve pinning your opponent followed by an approach toward the T with a follow up forehand to the deuce corner just as your opponent is trying to recover to the centre wrongfooting them. It's a double forehand attack, super aggressive. With the serve option you're suggesting, your opponent will hit a late angle forehand to your ad side behind your feet, turning you around laterally. Your only option is to play an off balance backhand into the court which they can demolish you with in your deuce side (open court.) If you manage to get a short ball off a wide forehand and run around it, you have a weird punch forehand at an awkward late angle into the ad side which has a better chance of being mistimed into the centre of the court. I just don't see this as a good idea. I love your guys analyses but I would never suggest this. You're tactically vulnerable to a forehand attack behind your feet.
Against good opponents you can't run the same play over and over cuz if they know it's coming it's easier to neutralize. At the risk of sounding cliche, you gotta mix it up.
I wish the red guy would just hand the show over to the other guy, and maybe just do the ad stuff. He feels superflous once the stats guy starts into it.
Great lesson as always Will, thabks!
Thanks Diego! Good catching up in IW 👊
@@fuzzyyellowballs wow you remembered, awesome !!!! This is the type of stuff that makes this the best tennis channel , cheers!
These videos are awesome
2:53 The serve speeds in the Tsonga-Nadal match were too much for the red magnetic man.

[Me as a 3.5 player, listening to this] Sounds reasonable
[Me, down 15-40: serves wide at 54 mph]
Me: Why didn't that work
🤣
Only works if you have a good wide slice .
I would recommend a good BODY SERVE .
Bertter % shot .
But all depends....
If opponent ...

Why not just play these shots all the time and avoid getting down 15-40?

Doesit matter that Nadal is left handed!
Pro stats and pro tactics poorly transfer to recreational play. 15-40 down? Kick serve for consistency ...
