A pusher on one level is a good counterpuncher on lower level. Some pushers apply slices and even drop shots, not all of them are moonballers. On the recreative level, overheads are not well developed, so that's one advice I'd give: practice "easy" overheads. Other tips: "fast feet, slow hands"; don't feel like you have to finish the rally early but apply controlled pressure.
Hey, ive used ur app but currently i cant get on it at all, wont let me login and if i manage to get logged in its just a blank screen. Is the app down ?
1. You can't have a slow start. If you have a bad start, everything gets much more ugly. 2. Do not rally with a pusher, because they can play all day long. Play forehand cross all the time to the pushers forehand. Pushers do not have better forehands. If you get a short ball, you need to attack. Why forehand and no backhands? Because, pushers play very often slice crosscourt backhands, which are difficult to answer for most amateurs. 3. Pushers do not make return winners. Therefore, it is no need to ace the pusher off the court and risk double faults. Double faults are very bad for the fighting spirit. And btw, serving aces is exhausting mentally and also physically.
Execution is a different issue. Consistency is how to beat the pusher. Pushers could never win against Agassi because he was so consistent and hits the ball on the rise - he never was caught deep in the back court and played that pusher game.
agassi also has one of the best overheads in history. pushers don't like it. if only he played in this era, he would give djokovic a run for his money.

Another thing to try against pushers is slices designed to bring the player in. Pushers don't like to come in.

Agassi always had a hard time against Michael Chang.
