I know this is song is primarily about heartbreak, but for me, I'm singing this to me; to my past self. I used to hate who I was back then and that lack of self-esteem affected everything from my behavior to my relationships with other people. Thankfully, now I'm finally learning to love myself.

It’s so refreshing to see so many beautiful covers of a truly relatable to all people song. I love to know men as well as women actually feel real emotions that we are all HUMAN. It’s healing to the soul when we can admit we are all emotional beings and that we all live and love and make mistakes in this life . We are expected to be strong and capable of making it through whatever storms come our way but rarely do we praise the ability to do it and have true feelings behind what the storm does to us . We are shaped and shifted and broken down by life but aren’t supposed to let show that things hurt or damaged. I am proud of those moments that show the broken the changed …. The beauty that comes from what we learn from these experiences is what truly makes us strong . There shouldn’t be shame in these moments. We suffer at times but we still strive to make it. We can be proud and stand taller after the battles we make it through and then take what we’ve learned and help others who are struggling through trying times. We shouldn’t feel ashamed of feeling what life brings we should embrace the strength of feeling and knowing we can feel these emotions and teach others that that is called surviving and that is real strength and growth. That builds us up and nobody can take that from you or break you because you’ve learned to handle being a good person in a troubled world.
