Tehri Dam - उत्तराखंड में भागीरथी नदी, पर स्थित टिहरी बाँध भारत का सबसे ऊँचा बांध और दुनिया का 8 वाँ सबसे ऊँचा बाँध है। टिहरी बांध की ऊँचाई 260.5 मीटर तथा लम्बाई 575 मीटर है और यह डेम 52 वर्ग किलोमीटर के सतह क्षेत्र के साथ 2.6 क्यूबिक किलोमीटर के लिए एक जलाशय है। टिहरी बांध दुनिया की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण जलविद्युत परियोजना है जो भागीरथी और भिलंगना नदियों से पानी प्राप्त करता है जो हिमालय से निकलती हैं। सिंचाई और दैनिक खपत के लिए पानी की आपूर्ति के अलावा, बांध 1,000 मेगावाट बिजली पैदा करता है। आपकी जानकारी के लिए बता दे इसका पहला चरण 2006 में पूरा हुआ था और अन्य दो चरण अभी भी जारी हैं।

Dobra Chanti Suspension Bridge - डोबरा चांटी पुल
अलग-थलग पड़े इन इलाको को जोड़ने तथा यहाँ की परेशानियों का हल निकालने के लिये उत्तराखण्ड राज्य के टिहरी जिले में स्थित टिहरी झील पर भारत का सबसे लंबा सस्पेशन डोबरा चांटी पुल तैयार किया गया।
इस पुल का निर्माण कार्य सन् 2006 से प्रारभ हुआ और इस वर्ष सन् 2020 में इस कार्य का समापन हुआ।
इस ब्रिज की लम्बाई 440 मीटर तथा चोड़ाई लगभग 7 मीटर है।

Feel proud to see my taxes being brought to use 😊You must go to the other side of the Dam, and visit the 'Tipri Madan Negi rope-way' that takes you across the Tehri reservoir. The entire experience - of going over the mammoth reservoir - is to be had to be believed.

Bhot hi shandaar presentation. Maine to ek TH-cam short pe Tehri dekh ke puri video search ki or ye sab dekh ke mera yha jane ka plan ban gya. Mai waise isi mahine ke last me Nainital, Mukteshwar or Almora jane wala tha lekin ab idhar jane ka plan bana raha hu.

Mai by train apni city se Amritsar se Haridwar ayunga. Ganga Aarti dekhe bhot time ho gaya to wha Rishikesh me Aarti dekh ke agli suba Tehri niklunga by bus. Budget travel pe hu to akela hu to us hisab se guide karna ap. Agar ap khud guide ban ke le jayenge to apki fees or bike me petrol ka khracha jo bhi hai mai dene ko tyar hu.
Ab ap help kare ke bus stand se dam kitna dur hai or mai wha local bus se koti colony or yha cable car hai wha tak ja sakta hu?

It's a so interesting to know about how people were shifted from DAM site to new tehri.
Though lot of money was given to these people they lost their culutre. Many people did not get money though some got extra money. It was that whoever was powerful and had links got good deal otherwise others did not get good money. Most important thing is how because of dam life around this area is affected. I am sharing this on the basis of people who wtinessed this happening there. Another important thing is that Uttarakhand govt has failed to develop this as tourist spot. Charges are very high for boating and stay. Even local shopkeepers are charging very high at boating area. 80 ruppes for nimbu paani. To know about history of dam and other aspects of dam its worth visit but just for fun and enjoyment its waste😊

And to be very honest my opinion is same as yours because our govt is failed to develop this wonderful place after lots of families shifted from old tehri to new tehri and Dehradun.
And this is our misfortune.
We are local here, yet we are charged for parking. And we can’t do anything about it.
Our culture has been lost somewhere, now under the guise of development the villages are having to suffer the consequences.
