I test drove one when they came out. Fantastic to drive very supple and smooth and incredibly spacious compared to anything else except scenic.

I think it looks great, not beautiful obviously, different and original, cool even. Don't think anybody agrees with me though.
Yes i think the exact same way! All you see are Renaults, BMW, audi's etc... Nobody wants to drive this thing, but i surely do! When this car passes you by, it instantly creates a smile on your face because it looks so apart! Awesome and practical car!

huge windows, gear lever near steering wheel, huge handles on doors, docile engine. this was definitly designed for the older people who struggle to get in and out of or drive most reagular cars. great in that case. but that bonnet bump.. i feel wrong just looking at it
To be fair, the car had a facelift some years later and the front actually looked more normal...
I was cracking up about the same time Richard was trying to sell it. Everytime he went around the next corner of the car it became funnier.
What else can take 6 adults in reasonable comfort and 6 suitcases or the weekly shop?
Nothing can and this is especially true when other mini MPV's can only manage 5 adults with two kids third row and have zilch bootspace for anything else. This car, weird as it looked, made perfect practical sense.
It did lose those goofy looks when it had a facelift.

i love this car, i think its absolutelly majestic. im not kidding, i actually love the way the car looks, especially the interior.
LOL you like the interior? with the AC, the gear push, the stereo system, the thing which you see how fast your going and the blinkers all jumbled up? and the outside of the car which the thing back over the trunk with the lights on it? LOL this car is trash
I have one of these. I got it with a lime-green wrap applied to it and decided to leave it on. It makes me laugh every time I get into it. Much cheaper than a Ferrari and it gets even more attention.
with all that it's likely to become a 'cult car'. it happened to the 2CV.
The only problem is that the car never really had a great reputation despite being very innovative at the time (unlike the 2CV which was heavily praised during its very long lifespan), and it was a big commercial failure.
I still can't believe that Fiat, the company that made the tiny 500, made this spacious... thing.
It's actually quite cool! I want one!
It shows why top gear is so successful
Clarkson makes fun on silly looking of the car, while Hammond accurately describes how practical the car was. Altogether with captain slow as a 'clown' to be teased by the other two !
They complement each other and make top gear (the former one) one of the best tv shows ever !!
who knew that 13 years later it will be reincarnated as one-of-a-kind Rover James, aka "The ultimate pensioner's car" :D

These things are crazy rare. Crazy as it looks a really like them especially with the factory body kit.
100% of people seeing this car for the first time will react the way he did when they showed the exterieur
Dono why, but i like it with that bodykit and that sporty wheels.
Only in Italy can you make an exuberant-looking people carrier with three seats at the front, only to step back, look at it and say "needs more body kit".

I fucking love multiplas most practical thing i ever drove and jtd was pretty quick. had 4 of them in the family at various points. drove 1 to st tropez in 11 hours got out fresh as a daisy. anyone who says there crap never drove 1.

The facelifted Multipla looks ok, and I'd have one. Surely it's much better than the hideous 500L that replaced it.

There is something special about it. It looks nice in a way. Not in a Jaguar F- Type kind of way, but more of a Citroën 2CV kind of way. Just being it's own thing and very unique. I honestly prefer it to all the crossovers these days that look like soap.

I like the look of Multipla. Looks quirky but that's why I like it.
THere are plenty of other quirky cars that looks much worse than Multipla.

Fiat Multipla was the weirdest disabled looking car I've ever seen. My jaw literally dropped when I first saw it as a kid in the streets.

Unsurprisingly, this car (V98 EJH) was scrapped, all the way back in June 2014.

my alfa gtv6 burned to the ground from a busted fuel inject line.needed a car.bought an alfa 147 with a head gasket problem.i removed the head and did the fix.next thing the robotic gear started to drive me nuts.asked the kid who sold me the 147 if he wanted to buy it back.the head's good now.a big yes.ok but the robot is making me crazy.no problem says he.so he buys it back,and i need a car quick.i see a couple cars and a multipla in a parking lot with signs 'for sale'.a guy walks up to me and he sells cars.he starts praising the frog and i tell him, but i'm looking for an alfa.i need a car quick and buy the toad thinking when i find an alfa i'll dump the toad.i just then had a show of my paintings in a gallery in another town, took out the back seats and shoehorned in sixty works.they are midsized not small.with the turbo and low torque rpms she goes up mountain roads like a toa...goat.still looking for my next alfa but without pressure.i like the toad.by the way a few months later the kid who bought back the 147 calls me and asks me if i know how to do the bottom end? the alfa is making banging noises.sorry kid.not my bag.good luck.

If you've ever felt that you've made the worst decision in your life, think about the people who bought the Fiat Multipla
They actually did a great decision. Not on a looks standpoint, but on a practicality standpoint. They were very practical and solid cars to own and they did good at their purpose - which is being a family car

It has the face only its mother could love. But I've gotta admire Fiat for making plucking up the courage on making such an ugly and interesting car the Multipla is.
The 2004+ Multiplas got a facelift and they look like every other minivan, yet the interior stays the same. So if you are looking for a Multipla, get a newer one.

You can get very 'Athletic' inside a Multipla ;)
Some say it looks like a little car bursting out from a normal car.

Some even say that if you paint it orange it turns into your fairygrandmother:s pumpkin chariot.
I don't know, but it looks like the multipla designers jumped over to BWM to give us some truly extraterrestrial looking cars.

I work in the fashion industry and believe me there are a lot of duds produced that will never sell. The thing is it makes sense for the designers to come up with crazy products but what I'll never understand is the big wigs that ok the production of 500,000 of them esp in colours that would put a dog off it's breakfast.
