So, I purchased this box a while ago and I haven't opened it yet. My hope was to just leave it sealed and let it grow in value. But after watching this unboxing, fuck that, I'm opening it! I'm super stoked to spend the day listening to live performances and going through the book. You dont know, dude, I loved this band. Saw them in LA and in Seattle at a Sub Pop event. Thanks for the thorough unboxing!
The only note I would add is to not bother playing the 30th version of Nevermind. Stick with the Bernie Grundman master instead. The live stuff is a pure JOY.
It was sorta interesting hearing butch vig's original mixes, which if I remember correctly were released with the 20th anniversary edition as "The Devonshire tapes". There were some noticeably different choices made, like letting the solo overdub's feedback ring out prominently in the mix over the 3rd verse of teen spirit
Great video! The box set looks awesome, very well made. Hopefully we’ll see an anniversary edition of AIC Dirt later this year; that monumental album turns 30. According to Jerry C it’s going to happen, but we’ll see. Fingers crossed!
Hear, hear. I actually emailed a vinyl subscription company a few years ago with detailed plans of how they should rerelease Dirt all-analog. Never heard back, but was worth a shot 🤷♂️

I dunno about over in the States (I assume it's the same), but here in the UK, this was supposed to come out for the 30th Anniversary last year and I pre-ordered it, but it then got delayed until this month. Like you say, probably due to the ongoing pressing backlogs. You're lucky though, as I have to wait until the 28th for this to release over here! 😥 Looks fantastic, though. Wow this set looks really cool, fcking love Nirvana. This album was my introduction to more heavy rock. In your opinion, what are the best live tracks??
This is an unboxing, not a review. Clearly I hadn’t listen to them when I made this. But, I think the live shows sound great. I’m pretty sure they’re all soundboard recordings. Either way, I’m pleased with the quality of the sound and the pressings.

Nope. Sub Pop did a Bleach anniversary reissue with a live show on the 2nd disc, but that’s it.
