Wow this video was incredibly informative. A lot of this information was always there and I was aware of most it, but seeing it all presented in this way really allows you to remember the information. I had never even though of Jar Jar as a tragic character when he really is. He's an innocent Gungan too good for the galaxy that gets manipulated to do the exact opposite of what his friend wants by being convinced it is what she wants. He essentially paved the way for the war and caused death of his friend Padme to happen. Seeing the full of life Jar Jar during the funeral, drained of the energy he always has is quite saddening. Overall this was a fantastic video on Jar Jar and his character, and I do wish we got to see him play an even bigger role, as even in The Clone Wars he was side lined a bit while other characters got so much development.
Not a common take but a welcome one to be sure. I can't say I share your enthusiasm for Jar Jar exactly but I'm happy to see that someone does. I'm more indifferent to the character than anything and I don't see him as the b***plug George Lucas used to r*** everyone's childhood. TPM is in my top 3 Star Wars movies as well, I just love the era that preceded the Clone Wars. That's why TPM, the Plagueis novel, and the High Republic are my favorite pieces of Star Wars content out there. Anyway this is a good video indeed
