Big same. The most prominent thing I remember about this game is that the music was dope as fuck. And this game got to me in the form of the the classic eastern european yellow 9999 in 1 cartridge form

The harder the game gets, the slower the ninjas gets when you pick up that end-all power up that last a few seconds. Also, that must have been the most hilarous boss fight...
Takeshi's Castle used to have all sorts of 80s video game BGM or remixes for each challenge.Tunes from Commando,Son Son Fantasy Zone,Bomberman,Star Soldier,Nuts 'n Milk and other games featured.It's a shame MXC overdubbed everything.As I live in the UK,our version still has all the music and even Japanese commentary audible.Sadly most of the comedy sections with Takeshi have been removed so I've not seen this game feature.I've only seen a few episodes of MXC which are shown very rarely here

i remember when i was playing this game i encountered some glitch. i got killed by the red monk with his fiery hadouken but just before i died i was able to throw a shuriken on the last millisecond and killed him. so kage suddenly stood up and the stage clear bgm played and the level was cleared.
Thanks to this game I learned the word "however" I always tell my students about how in the past you learned English because of videogames. Good old days!
