Fun fact, when Drake had a Degrassi reunion for his video “I’m Upset”, the guy who played JT wasn’t in it because he thought Drake was prank calling him and didn’t think the video was a real thing.
People always meme about the drake getting shot thing but this was actually a really good and one of the most impactful scenes for one of the most impactful teenage shows at the time. The characters had a lot of debt and backstory, as a viewer you got really attached and could relate to them so it was pretty shocking. Plus they took the trauma with them to future episodes and didn't just pretend it never happened like a lot of shows do.

If she has mental health issues, it's probably from how horribly she's been sexualized and treated by her family and the public since she was a literal child. How about we just leave her out of speculations anymore and not feed the pop culture cycle that has always and still takes advantage of her tumultuous personal life to sell glorified speculative fiction about her health and safety. We really should stop making her personal tragedies story fodder and just take her at face value and let her live her goddamn life now that she can actually have one. There's no such thing as a perfect victim, and she deserves the chance to live without people blowing her up all over again about shit they literally don't know anything about truly.
Everyone but Hasan risked their lives to film this podcast and while thats a commendable degree of commitment I also hope everyone is home safe and sound now

I get reminded of 'The View From Halfway Down', the penultimate episode of Bojack Horseman, and the titular poem. I get reminded of death everytime I hear that. It portrays the **after** death in your point of view, except you are reminded that you won't be there to portray yourself after death. what 13 reasons why chose to do is so vulgar, it betrays actual activism and awareness, and it instead becomes reactionary, it fetishizes suicide, people who watch it fetishize their mental illness, romantacize it instead of viewing it as something they need help with, and pushes them more. in their case, suicide is with them, and not against them.
