I still need to try out a MIJ Geddy Lee so I can feel the difference. I’m still head over heels with the American one I have and believe it’s one of the most well made instruments from the US 🇺🇸
Tried playing it ..overrated and too expensive... And to any who are going to, or have claimed that Geddy was a Rickenbacker player, he recorded with his Fender Jazz primarily up to the mid 80's, then he went Steinberger and Wal, before coming back to his Jazz bass...he toured with Rickenbackers in the 70's...then Steinberger & Wal...
Lol no way. This is the best jazz bass you can get before a custom shop and it ain’t really close. If you played one at some guitar shop that was set up and treated like shit I could see it but this bass is in no way overrated or overpriced. You could argue it’s underpriced for what you get
Geddy got his iconic Jazz bass in 1979, but favored Rick’s from late ‘74 up till about ‘83, used a Steinberger from ‘84-‘85, Wal from ‘85-‘92 and stuck with Fender Jazz from ‘93 to present
Old school Rocker here. RUSH THE BAND WITH ONE OF THE GREATEST DRUMMERS OF ALL TIME NEAL PERTH ( That maybe spelled wrong) And Old school bass guitar player to myself. I prefer the IBANEZ FOUR STRING the 500 series. THE DEMON GOD GENE SIMMONS OF KISS THE FIRE THE FLAMES THE BLOOD oh yeah he was my inspiration to learn how to play the bass . I was asked many times why don't you play a bass with 5 or 6 strings because I can get the same sound as you with 4 plus some.
I want that bass bad 🇺🇸👍🏆
💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗Fender Jazz Bass!
I had a Japanese made Geddy Lee Signature model for years. It was a better instrument than the American made ones!

@@sonojon0C'è un modello made in Mexico esteticamente è un bel basso ma non credo che abbia le caratteristiche di suono di quello Americano
I have a 70’s squier with a Fender Hi-Mass bridge on it. The poor man’s Geddy bass! Lol
The mandal legend the bass

I used to own one… Now I own a 79’ jazz bass and it’s way better 😛
Oh yeah Marvelous , but Rush´s Tom Sawyer has been recorded with Rickembaker
It was Jazz bass probably. Ged said so himself.

Geddy mostly used an old Rickenbacker
Correct. The 4001 Jetglo. He mainly uses a Fender Jazz now. Thanks for the comment!
