The excessive noise is the starter going bad. The tractor wasn't used for 5 years, and sat too long. The wobble in the belts was from the belts sitting in one place, for years.
We had about 10" of snow, that eventually turned into ice, over the past few weeks. I do have a bolens blade that works great. I plowed my entire street because my city didnt. In the past, I used a 1254 to push the blade, but found out that the 750 can do it too. I got this 1050 because its a 2 belt drive with wheel lockouts. Im not very prompt on posting videos, and rarely have time to do them. Ive removed about 20 bolens videos, especially my 62-600 gold edition. I use them often, but, after all of this time, Im finding out how much I dont know. In all of my older wisconsin and Briggs old engines, Im having problems with the governor. Seems to be my problem with these engines. the 600, TRA-10d, 12d. They dont respond under load. Ill have to learn more about that. Theyre 60 years old. I just rebuilt the starter for my new 1050, but it is too far gone, in the windings and internal wires. It turns, but has no torgue. I have to start them by rope. I wish they had an aftermarket recoil hand starter. On my 750, I put a new engine in it ( newer 10hp briggs commercial engine) , and that is my most relaible one. Im thinking about getting rid of the old engines and re-powering them. ( except the 1962-600) I may repost some of the old videos just to get some content posted. My whole purpose for owning these is using them for pulling and pushing. That worm gear drive is the answer to my problems. Thanks for subscribing. I just put out videos, occasionally, about random stuff. Ill try to get some more bolens stuff posted, in the future.
@ I started out using JD 100"s round fenders. ( 60, 70, 100 ) put a 20hp on one, to build and maintain a 35 acre disc golf course, at my local park. I also use them at home and work, on large properties. I needed a worm gear drive. I found the bolens husky, and thats my thing, now. I have 600, 750, 1050, 1254, and an 800 for parts, no engine. Im going to be getting rid of my JD round fenders. 8hp. Last model of the round fenders. Between the 5 Bolens, Ill have 3 very good ones, and leftover parts. Because theyre hard to find, or really expensive, im not planning on selling bolens stuff. I wanted the Panzar, at one point, but my bolens are much more useful and practical for my needs. I dont plan to get rid of them, and expect them to last another couple decades.

@@randombuilder01 if you ever get rid of a ugly old tractor let me know I don't got a large budget but would be nice to have something like that
