However if you open the pdf with other programs line Preview in MAC or a browser in PC , embeded video is not playing. You can see the media ONLY if you open the pdf with Acrobat Reader... any solution ???

You probably need to create or eport an Epub instead from indesign which can be read natively on Apple devices and computers. Test it.
There's also an interactive pdfs export formats from indesign which may support gifs. This is what I'm here hoping for a quick answer about

Adding the video in a supported format mp4 h.264 (8Mo video encoded with Media encoder) makes Acrobat Pro DC crash everytime....any solution? thx :)

But my video is only showing a sound wave and playing the audio :(
No matter how many time I'm trying, my video is opening for me as and audiowave. It's a 50/50 chance that it might work for some people or it will show up as audio, but there is small chance that it won't work at all. I was sending my pdf to different people to check if it'll work.
That's my expirience. Somebody know why it's not working for me?

@@_qlim2550 worst part is adobe support. Ive seen some people report this issue, in most they didnt respond in others they just told them that it work for them so yeah.
There is not a solution. On Windows it doesn´t work. On Mac works, and for mac users only.
Thanks for the tutorial. Is this embedded into the pdf so that someone can watch it offline? Also, what is the maximum size of the video file you can embed?
This worked almost perfectly for me with one exception. The properties are just as you demonstrated. The video will NOT stop when I "click" to stop it.

Using online converters to fit to file requirements, only got audio on play. Was suggested to fix Adobe Enconder but...

I only get a black screen, sometimes I get a line with the audio of the video visualized if I am lucky. I check for sure that it is either .mp4 or .mov in H.264 format from many different sources and made sure I had selected to trust, any advice? The latest version of adobe was installed today at time of writing (2021.005.20060)

Hi SenseSlap - I am having the same exact problem. I just sent an email to Adobe's Technical Support Team letting them know about this issue. Hopefully they can help figure this out. If they do then I will share the solution to this issue.

@@mwaaqaas no.. he means that if you open the PDF (with rich media, video embeded) with other programs like "preview" in Mac, or a browser in PC or whatever, video is not playing... you can see the media ONLY if you open the pdf with Acrobat reader... i guess there is no solution to this, right ?
