A few members of skz are huge anime fans, if you see something you think is a reference it probably is 😭 The tortoise and the hair is definitely one of their most experimental rap songs, you should check it out (there's no mv though)
One Piece's official X account has been teasing posts with Stray Kids and the members have been teasing One Piece references in songs and during concerts, so maybe a future collab?! Honestly knowing Stray Kids they can make it happen so I can't wait until it happens!!
Thank you for your reaction. Topline is such a mood and played in their concert is so Hard Fire. It's actually really interesting how the collab with Tiger JK came about. So 3Racha (Chan, Changbin & Han) created a song for the dancing competition show Street Man Fighter called "HEYDAY". In that song, they shout out Tiger JK as the Legend that he is. For the 2020 MAMA awards that year, MNET decided to create a collab stage with 3Racha and Tiger JK, and when they met up for that Changbin and Bang Chan told Tiger JK that they had a song they thought he'd be perfect on, and he told them to send it to him. And TOPLINE was birthed from that! They kinda forgot to ask permission to do it first... anyways... - As for the legendary Tiger JK, he has been in the Korean music industry since mid nineties & is highly respected artist and producer. You can say he was one OG who helped shaped the modern K-hiphop scene and has greatly influenced K-pop industry among others. 3Racha talked about how this was like dream collab to work with him. He is also part of the hiphop groups Drunken Tiger & MFBTY (w/wife Yoon Mirae). If interested in his rap, I recommend MFBTY "Bang Diggy Bang Bang" (Very fun) and Drunken Tiger's "Monster" (Kor. ver). It goes stupid hard. - Not to forgot 3Racha 'Heyday' along with '3Racha'' [the song], 'Runner's High' and 'We Go' When you are ready for it.. The boys really do everything themselves, beats, lyrics, etc. The directors and editors, choreographers, stylists, staffers everyone on their MVs are top tier and it shows. 🖖🏽😁
In mathematics, a Möbius strip, Möbius band, or Möbius loop is a surface that can be formed by attaching the ends of a strip of paper together with a half-twist. Like this ♾️
Top line is pure 🔥. I once asked in the comments if anyone knew the significance of them throwing and burning US dollars. One person suggested it was in response to people accusing them of cooking the billboards charts (apparently, the backlash to them breaking so many records was bad enough that billboards representatives actually spoke out in defense of stray kids). This song does kind of feel like it's giving the finger to anyone who believes stray kids need to cheat to win. Their massive success has always been based on sheer talent and hard work. FYI, OT8 is a legit bias (loving and supporting all 8 of them). You don't have to pick favorites. They all deserve to be biased😂❤.
Those aren't US dollars. If you look at them they have the alien octopus from S-Class on them, and the writing is lyrics reminding that they are still hustling to get to where they are. Changbin commented on them in the making of video.
A mobius strip is also a symbol for infinity, because just adding that twist before you stick it back together, when you draw a line on one side, it ends up covering all of the strip, both the "front" and "back" sides--essentially a mobius strip has only one side. Tiger JK's feature is pretty sophisticated.
Like most things with Stray Kids, Topline is word play. So there is the topline you spoke of, as well as the Topline of a song, which is the melody. There are probably other meanings too, lol. And yes, color coded lyrics usually put extra generic music at the end so they don't get copyrighted. As for more rap centric, Easy would be good next one, as well as the 3Racha ones like Heyday and 3racha. And Megaverse, Domino, Venom and Freeze.
Great reaction! I wish I watched more TV bc i want to watch kdramas but i have a hard time focusing, especially when i can't multitask due to the subtitles. Are you reacting to full episodes or is it just clips? Cause watching along with someone might just work 🤔 I interpret it as they're at the top of what *they* do and you can't even compare others to them. It's not about being better than other groups, it's about being their best and those below them - the people who have achy necks - are the doubters and naysayers that can't seem to look away. And of course the fact that they're on top doesn't mean they've reached *the* top. There's still so much to achieve and so far to climb.
This song is legend!! Also if you love songs like this I would recommend Cypher Pt. 2 (BTS), and its also contains One Piece reference 😭 The rapline of BTS goes crazy there

Also, in Marvel universe the time travel machine created by Tony Stark to go get the infinity stones was an inverted Mobius strip.
I would love to see you react to something about the members , maybe watching a guide.
Anyways, love your reaction and can't wait to see even more
Yes the one piece refrence might be there as most of the members are watch anime and are a fan of one piece

I feel like solo singer WOODZ would be right up your alley. Check him out!
