With all due respect, if we put our lives on social media, we have to expect people to criticise or complain. That's social media, unfortunately. Just ignore it and just see that it's adding to the views, etc. Just do your thing, and people will just watch if they want to. Just be yourself and don't justify anything. You will not change the world mate.
No i dont agree, darrens not making political provoking videos or nasty videos, so no just because hes putting his food vids online does not give ANYONE the right to abuse him or pry into his business, that attitude is all wrong, people need to be kind and if they dont like the person dont watch WITH ALL DUE RESPECT that ole chestnut about accepting hate comments because he has a channel is whats wrong with this world

I found you the night I thought my son was not gonna survive surgery I wanted to die and that’s the truth but I watched Darren John for 11 hours straight without him and his videos I just dread to think what would have happened it was the worst night of my life so I will always thank DJ for being there when I needed him my son John is home 🏡 and doing great ME? DJ: I don't read through other comments - at least not often - but I suspect 99% of comments are positive, and/or if they are critical, they are coming from the right place. I know it's human nature to focus on the 1% of nasty comments, and take them to heart, but try to focus on the overwhelming positives. Don't be dragged down by those who take pleasure in doing so. 👍

Hiya Darren, another thought provoking video. I watched Gareth on that video, and told him it was hard to sit and watch as he was forced into opening up. Last week Gary did a Q&A vlog, again some very personal information. It's so very sad that a %, a small % of people who are wired so they can only be happy watching others fail. Or suffer when they read the hurtful, nasty vile comments on line. Having been a follower of the channel, now both channels for a while, we have seen the way you handle adverse issues in your life. Strength, inner strength. Not breaking, but bending when hash winds come. The set of your sails ❤ You know that the haters, are not worth the time and effort of putting down, but like the midges in the summer they become annoying and get on your nerves. Darren, I hear you. I have noticed on your food channel that there are a few people who constantly leave negative and not nice comments. I was even asked if I had dementia because I left a positive comment, so it is not just you that they get at, it is your subscribers too, so YES for those people, and they know who they are, Please Be Nice and if you cant be nice and play nicely, either don't say anything or even simpler, dont watch. You have two amazing channels Darren, both of which deserve every success. Keep up the fantastic work and enjoy what you do,

Another great honest video Darren. There will always be, and always has been unhappy people, they are unchangeable and unable to find happiness, so seek to disrupt anything that appears to be light and happy. It is how they are wired. We had them in our school years and they are in our working life years. The trick is to employ patience and avoid even mentioning there unnecessary and unacceptable behaviour as this only serves to fuel their existence on social media. Very heartwarming and genuine video, keep going and thanks for your content during your challenges in life 🙏
Gary eats done a video recently with questions and answers which viewers asked. He said he lives in Kent. Also who was his camara man he revealed it was his son. Just a couple of questions asked.
It doesn't matter dj, one thing to remember is, laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone, dont complain because nobody it never gets anyone anywhere, not that you do but in general people do. Get yourself back on keto dj, you will achieve your goal but be strict, its worked for me and my missus, it takes time but not as long as youd expect mate. The very best to you. Remember laughter is the best medicine to boot. Xxxx in fact dj buy yourself a book called THE WHEAT BELLY COOKBOOK by DR WILLIAM DAVIES. One of the best I've come across mate. Best of luck.x

For me it's interesting to see your videos around London, because being a Manchester guy for 66 years like to know the food scene in the South .
Get fed up with Northerners lol going on about prices etc,snobby rich etc they want to try living down there!
I get fed up with channels buying cheap processed food (not) that cheap when fresh food is available in supermarkets etc .
They must walk past that 😂😂😂😂.

I don't live in England, but I enjoy your videos when you ride your motorbike,visit different towns, and off the charts meals. I don't think you should take any notice of these people because Darren, you are simply enjoying your life and enjoying the things you like to do.
Rate My Takeaway is one I have followed for ages. Lovely bloke - jokey and fun but importantly real. He was open and honest following the death of his partner. He uses his platform to promote charity - mostly the BHF - people come up to him when he setting up or eating and he always stops, chats and has a photo with them. Just be nice just help others out and pay them some time - you actually feel better after it too. I often speak to strangers in the supermarket - particularly the elderly because I know some of them can go for days not speaking to anyone. Just stand, talk and indulge them you never know you could be making their week. Keep up the good work DJ

Hello Darren. I enjoy the channel, both the eating and bikes. (I've a couple). But re leaving food. Having volunteered 5 years at an advice service and giving food vouchers out. (some people just want sandwiches as they can't afford to put cooker on). It seems, wrong (to me) to order food to waste. I watch a local guy who trys food but takes it home for his fsmilycwhstvhe doesn't eat.

How are you Darren, How are you really. I ask because you come across truly unhappy, searching, searching searching. Whatever has happened in your life has obviously affected you greatly, it shows in your content. This is not having a go at you but just stating a point. Hopefully you find what you are looking for but realise that putting yourself out in the social media world comes with its ups and lots of downs. No one knows whats around the corner but as sure as night follows day trying to please people on social media will always bring out the negative side being the people that enjoy trolling. Keep up the work you are doing.

I appreciate your honesty DJ. The vlogs on either channel are done quite well in my opinion. Some people just like to be nasty because they can. Unlike your old mate with the glasses and EV, you don't use click bate, the food reviews are great and informative. I don't mind you finishing meals, it shows you generally like it. Don't change, keep being yourself!.

I do despair sometimes at the way we treat each other not a lot we can do about that invariably someone will do something to restore my faith in the human race the majority of people have good hearts was always taught growing up if I could only be one thing in my life make it to be kind if everyone who was able to once a week to do an act of kindness what a vastly different place the world would be many things have changed since I was a youngster and sometimes not for the better for me the lack of community spirit has had a massive impact on our wellbeing

I'm on here because of the content you produce. It's none of any ones business how much you earn etc.I would never dream of asking my children if they could tell me how much they've got in the bank or how much they earn,let alone a TH-camr. Healthy criticism is good for us all , but not the malicious type. Some individuals are so spiteful and jealous you have to feel sorry for them in the end and learn by them and pray you never end up Ike them. Sorry to hear that very sad news . Heartbreaking.

Hi mate what you could do for awhile is do your homework on light meals. Like most Currys are fat free. Do some of them. It's the chips and other things where the fat comes in. Have a small bit of the fatty things for the video and then just finish the curry yourself. There is loads options to do mate. It's the summer and loads of us want some light ideas. Good luck pal. Hiya Darren. I cannot believe that you have all those pesky trolls on your channels still. I guess they make it their job to do the rounds and spread their misery! You have got loads of real fans,(friends of the channels), that appreciate you. I myself look forward to your videos, they are very enjoyable. I do agree that you should maybe leave some of the food, I.e. fried eggs, bacon, and sausage. All the good stuff. My doctor doesn’t want me to eat bacon at all, because of all the salt and nitrates. But I am a foodie, who lives to eat, and not eat to live!😂😂 so it is difficult for me to stay on track. I still think that your cooking at home videos are great for some of the time. And also, the healthy food, like the Vietnamese food that you have, is good for you. It’s so tasty. Smaller portions as well can help, and maybe lay off the desserts.😂 I fortunately have a savoury tooth rather than sweet, so I don’t do desserts unless it’s Christmas, because I love Sherry Trifle.😂😂 Naughty but nice. Maybe more exercise as well. I have a treadmill that tells you how many calories you are burning so I try to burn off that amount. But it’s a continuous struggle. Also If I go out to breakfast, I try not to have bread or fried bread. If I do, I have one or the other. One sausage instead of two, also, just one egg, or sometimes an egg white omelette. If it’s flavoured well it’s nice. Sorry if it sounds like nagging. But it’s really called caring. 😊

I've followed Gareth since 2k subs, what am amazing guy, and feel for him feeling the need to explain himself. We can only hope the nasty comments push his videos out to more people and he earns more cash to support his family.
I love what you do and your channel. The haters are also the people who gain you money. So bring on the haters and say thanks. Those who dont do content are not awarevof all the stuff you have to do what you have to be aware of. Music, kids etc alot you have to do. Some of us dont have a support system and we or i deal wuth my lows on my own and its very very difficult to climb back up.
