- In this video I will be discussing simple actions to take to make friends while studying abroad. While making friends is obviously subjective to each person hopefully this video will provide a jumping off point. Nerves can run high when you move to a new city or let alone country, so hopefully this video will be a reliever to those who are nervous! I discuss activities like joining societies, connecting with friends on Facebook, joining your ESN club, attending dorm events and saying yes to new opportunities.

Us as introverts finding out about our mutual love for Harry Potter 🤝 paved the way for friendship
😂 that is the cold hard truth
Hi Katie! I'm new to your channel and I instantly fell in love with your videos. They're so refreshing to watch. I can also resonate with you about being Introvert and making new friends. However you've inspired me to step out of my comfort zone! With love, your newest subscriber💛
I love that you also call Erasmus EURasmus. I used to do that too! Then I learned who Erasmus is -- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erasmus. It's the name of the programme that funds students in the EU to study abroad in other countries within the EU. because Erasmus travelled around Europe a lot for education. I'm not sure about the Erasmus club (?) you mentioned now since Brexit, but at least previously the UK also participated. Then Erasmus Mundus is the EU programme for funding non-EU students to study in the EU :)
I'm going to study abroad next semester in the UK and your videos are totally life savers, I'm an introvert and all your tips are everything I need to hear. 🤗🤗🤗
Hoping to study abroad in Edinburgh in the fall and I'm a massive introvert, didn't have much luck at my home university meeting friends so I'm just trying to prepare myself lol. Thanks for this video, it was super helpful!
So glad to help out a fellow introvert! Thanks for watching :)
This is not america come on Europeans are much more introvert than us people's do
@@jackmiller1712 Just wanted to clarify that I was only saying that I myself am an introvert, and was seeking advice on how to connect to people while abroad, not that I expected everyone in Europe / Edinburgh would necessarily be more outgoing than people in America.
@@caitlinb35 Yeah Americans are too conservative
@@jackmiller1712 europeans are more introverted than americans?
My G ! I found your videos so helpful :O Like I have almost watched all of them and they're really making me feel better as I just arrived in Wisconsin for spring semester and have been feeling kinda low lately.

Lol I am a student from turkey study in Canada I didn't make friends (only 8 maybe) but this is okay never bother yourself into different people's groups
Eight friends is so many
I think you should consider joining acting/modelling school cuz with your "Amanda Seyfried eyes" you can make it to Hollywood
This is not cool, I think you should remove this comment
