Secret Name was pretty much the perfect album if you are into this kind of music. You can't expect them to top that, but at least they are moving into new directions now...there could still be something good to come of these guys.

well, well said. i read a post on a forum on a hottest 100 of all time music competition thing. and one of the songs was sex on fire - kings of leon, and someone said, "another great song ruined by comercialism". comercialism did nothing to the song. it just meant other people knew about it too, which to this person made it less "cool" to listen to. the cake point was great, describes it exactly. :)

the video jexaposed with the song gives me the impression that it was to do with gluttony; "my hand just kills and kills" only accents the obsession of endulgence along with the cake and milk gorging. beside the meaningful aspect i got from this, it's quite funny to; but you'd have to have an oddly dry sense of humor to see it. ^.^ (*haah, milk*)
I think it´s interesting that he didnt take the small piece of the cake which stands in front of him but the whole cake,like he wants everything, not only a part...so you can transform this metaphor (maybe) into the human beeing, if they can get everything, though they don´t need it, they grab it does it sounds wierd?
