This is the best example of how music should be , you can play VIRTUOSO stuff but if you dont have feeling , STEP ASIDE ... this is one of the most under rated bands i have ever heard , they are real !!! DAMN , cheers from México city , VIVA LOW !
I listened to this endlessly when I was grieving for my friend who committed suicide. Listening to it was this painful, comforting, wonderfully horrible embrace...I thought about everything I did and didn't say..too many words.

Rip to one half of low, you guys made me cry for the firdt time during music way back when when i heard this song, and i never stopped loving music after that.
Depression is sitting in your bed at night, wondering why you can't sleep. Why do i feel like such shit when i have no reason to. I was happier earlier today, why can't i feel what my friends feel. When you feel insane because suddenly nothing interests you anymore.. Your motivation goes.. and you know you could be a better person.. if you could just pull yourself out of the hole.
This is like the opposite of the chaotic world we live in. I mean, try to hear this song while watching the crappy images from the television... it's impossible. This is the type of feelings that the mass will never understand.
Zimmerman left it hurts so much. Christ, I'd leave if I could. But I'm tired. "Too many words." The drugs would be good, but morning truth will always be. Superior's Witch will always be as well.
Check out the band: Galaxie 500 for some damn fine Space-rock: Albums’: On Fire and This is Our Music are quite space traveler music same recording engineer as Low too; the one and only KRAMER!
I heard LOW last night for the first time as an opener for Death Cab. I'm glad that I discovered such a wonderful band. I'm hooked!!! Thank you!!! This is the song that they opened with. Such a moving sound.
Well, the dark reaches of each persons individuality can be a very nice place to rest and gain strength. Just like when you go to a quiet, safe place and sleep. Music with a melancholy edge, a sad edge can be very soothing especially on your own. There are endless reasons to why someone might like it, I think my main reason for liking this music type is the rationale that I am not alone in my loneliness, it restores a sense of innocence if I was to go further.
Im a little late to this comment, but hey if it makes you feel any better, my husband and i are into completely different genres lol. He likes dubstep and edm, i like this, and rock. I feel ya.
it depends on my mood and what I'm going through at that moment. At certain times of my life "depressing" music is comforting and sometimes helps me release whatever sad emotions that have been bottling up so my soul can heal. I also listen to "happy" music too....
Its odd how this music effects all these people, as it also effects me. The simplest piano song, can be the most inspirational song in the world. Just as this song. Its soo simple, but has enough power, to make people look at life differently.
es una hermosa cancion, melodia y arreglos!!! soy fanatico de este grupo..gracias por publicarlo!!!

I listened to this endlessly when I was grieving for my wife who committed suicide 8 years ago. Listening to it was this painful, comforting, wonderfully horrible embrace...We need tunes like this!
but eventually you get out of it, the choices you make and the people we meet, change us in every way. and the little things teach us how to move on. we grow, we learn, we sometimes do some drugs, get drunk once in a while, then we figure out what we have to do as human beings who are starting a new
depression is often a side of shit not working out and feeling like you have no purpose in this world, and wanting to die everyday feeling like everything is just shit, shit piled on shit and so on, growing up and not ready to move on from what you lost or better yet not wanting to move on in general..stuck in a time of your life that you wish you could go back to and repeat over and over, a time where things were so simple, a time where you had everyone you loved and now all of that is gone.
This music is beautiful, sad is just a word, so is hate, depression, lonely, and tired. GET THOSE WORDS OUT OF YOUR HEAD! Sounds beyond words friends ;)
Joy and sorrow are inseparable. Emotions are just that, they are all of the same, and either we are driven to feel by music or certain music drives us to feel a specific emotion. Whether we want to accept it or not, what you are listening to right now is not much different to the beautiful brooding sound of the viola or oboe. Or urban street rap for that matter. It's all felt with the heart and we can co-exist with our personal preferences, providing we are peacefully navigating.
1.) wake up. 2.)realize it's raining outside. 3.) listen to all of I Could Live in Hope and Sunny Day Real Estate's Diary. 4.) smoke weed. 5.) realize you're too old to be doing it and that the nineties happened a lot longer than you think 6.) repeat all steps the next gloomy day or after a breakup
@danielcm81 and i got my ex-girlfriend into Low with that particular song, and that's actually how our love started. and I'm very thankful to her, because she's really change my life for the better.
This song always makes me float. Hearing it knowing that Mimi is gone, just melts my heart.
Everybody who doesn't feel moved by Low cannot have a soul.

Rest in peace Mimi, thank you Low for all the great nights spent listening to your music.
I listened to this endlessly when I was grieving for my friend who committed suicide. Listening to it was this painful, comforting, wonderfully horrible embrace...I thought about everything I did and didn't say..too many words.
Peace be with you.
This music relaxes me, makes me sad, inspires me, at the same time.. This song is so beautiful.

2024 June. Still listening to this great song and band.
I’ve been listening to it for 10 years and still love it
This music doesn´t depress me, on the contrary, i´m listening to this because I already feel depressed.
Yes - depressed music when feeling depressed can be uplifting.
If you love this song, that means I LOVE YOU
if you love this song and loves me, that means I love you.
Love you
I feel exactly the same! Its so freakin beautiful
At least somebody does
@@ivemcfallen9117 same
I dont know why, but this song brings me so many nostalgic feelings. Reminds me of where i was born, a rainy, dark, and sad place.
about 1995, driving around Chicago listening to this over and over. Lovely.
Rip to one half of low, you guys made me cry for the firdt time during music way back when when i heard this song, and i never stopped loving music after that.
RIP Mimi... Don't know how the world will be without low.
I am transported back decades instantly. This era was magical~
this song kills me. kills me every single time. every single time. every.
David Lynch and Low, two great things.
Perfect. For those empty days.
just as powerful when i first heard it in '94.
NAMES99 hey!
How about after another 14 years?
It makes me very warm inside listening to this. It envelops my heart and stirs the soul. Gorgeous
I don't listen to "sadcore" or "slowcore" because I'm depressed, but because it's good and I find an artistic beauty in the songs. Great tune!
Try some aphex twin, under black helmet, Burial or mogwia, also Hefner - "breaking gods heart". You are not alone, listening to music with soul.

I don't think depressing is necessarily beautiful, but I think depression is often a side effect of beauty. I just love music that shows emotion.
There is so something so chilling about this video... I love it. Such a beautifully haunting song
This is like the opposite of the chaotic world we live in. I mean, try to hear this song while watching the crappy images from the television... it's impossible. This is the type of feelings that the mass will never understand.
+Moviememes now you say it, the song feels like they're talking about politicians on the telly just making false promises. Too many words, no actions
this is pretty much my favourite song ever.
low for life!
Anyone in 2018 still jam to this song it's still the best
I don't need to be depressed to find this utterly soothing and beautifully haunting, or maybe i have been depressed and not even known it
Welcome to northern Minnesota, where darkness, sub-zero temperatures and extreme sadness are cured by drugs.

The demon is inside of you, not in your environment. It will follow you wherever you go, unless you take it out of your own self.
This save my life.
Who else finds this helpful when they're extremely melancholic and tired of all this bullshit this world gives you?
Me. Low is the one thing that helps me now that I am going through some serious and painful shit... I hope things went well for you.
I was listening this song seven years ago non-stop, it was hard winter in Sarajevo... good cure for ptsd
Not me , I come here when happy to make fun of sad people.
@@ignominia9703 Not funny, even as a joke.

Alan and Mimi's harmonizing in this song is simply haunting!!

good news guys i don’t have shitty friends anymore 😌✊
I like this type of music.
put my soul at rest and lay my down in the arms of the one i love. just hold me tight and lets just listen to the sound of low!

This song is perfect. I keep coming back to it. You can say so much with just a few perfect words.
Few things on this earth are as beautiful as the music of Low.
It makes me chill. Like, i was anxious and while watching this I just stare and listen to. I'm feel the empty of this. Just love it so much.

This song is not contained in the album "A lifetime of temporary relief", but in "I could live in hope".
+paolaoz The video is from A Lifetime of Temporary Relief
I'm not moving, but feel myself drifting away to a wonderful place. God, I love music-- it's definitely my favorite escape.
this song is the greatest to my ears at this time in my life!
Отличная тема! Прекрасный симбиоз музыки и видеоряда.
ughhh i cant believe this was 14 years ago! it seems like it was only yesterday that i first saw this on request video
I hope you're doing alright.
okay, usually i'm into all the dubstep and fast paced dnb, but this song is so so amazing and beautiful!
this album and this song are perfect.
Baby Low! So good right from the start, and they've only gotten better.
no words to explain what this song makes me feel
i jus feel sooo groovy when i listen to LOW , wayyy down deep mmmmmmmmm

Music that helps me feel at peace with all things inevitable. My heart still hurts though.
About 2 am. Laying in my bed. Listening to this with closed eyes. Better than sleep...
Great song.
Always a stunner
I can't remember feeling as lost and hopeless as I do now.
their music soothes me, they are exceptional.

Goddamn, this song is fucking perfect. I bought this album when it came out in early 90's, and it still sounds colossal.
Frankly this is way more punk rock than a lot of punk rock
Perfect..............Low always reach down deep!

Sadness in loss is a powerful beauty.
Music for the abject, inner darkness of the soul & the treasure found within. Be safe, precious people, in the chaos of 2020.
I love this song but it scares me

Always a classic. RIP, Mimi.

Love Low.
this is just great! thank you for upload!
Melancholy -
soberly thoughtful; pensive.
For some - the sweet spot of their music collection...
I met the lead singer guy. He played my guitar and showed me some tricks. Really nice guy.
I thought I had moved past this feeling, I guess not. Really didn’t plan this for the night... guess I’ll get it out of my system..
I wish music was this good nowadays.
Esta bien bueno el concepto, me hizo recordar la adolescencia.
I'm totally in love with this song.....
Decay is just another face of the beauty.
love this tune, me too, first heard it back in 1994
