    That was an emotional press conference but without any tears. You can see Roger smiling and keeping it light because he's trying not to cry at all the beautiful remarks. And you see Rafa's genuine sadness. Even though he's as pragmatic in his wisdom as ever - this is the cycle of life, people have to leave to make space for new people to arrive - he's emotional and also nervous about the match, he wants to make it the best moment possible for Roger.

      Djokovic and Federer are certainly not great friends on the circuit, but they always respected each other. On social media they posted lots of images together where they get along. They even played double together at the Laver Cup a few years ago.

    Nadal, Federer, Djokovic. Few sports have three of the best of all time competitive against one another at the same time. Sad it'll be over sooner than later, but as Rafa says, that's just the nature of ageing and retiring. I'm a Federer guy through and through but love and respect all three in their own right. All three are great champions.

    • @iamdalibor
      @iamdalibor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are all different and maybe you might not like one/both of them as much as the other but you still have to give either of them respect.
      Their game at least deserves respect all that hard work nonstop.
      But this big 3 could have really been even closer then what it is now but media ruined things and always made Novak the outkast and such.
      If he was embraced like how he should have been things would have been way better.
      It was always about Rafa Fed.
      I don't see the NBA treat Jordan Kobe Lebron like that.
      And Jordan even punched his own teammate lol and still wasn't dogged on like Novak was with the Media and such

    Truly a special moment in the history of sport. Wonderful to see and show appreciation for Roger Federer's spectacular contributions. Watching Roger and Rafa play together, with their career long respect and on court sportsmanship, will be very emotional for me. Hope people will really take to heart Roger's comment that he and Rafa were intensely competitive, but treated each other with respect on court, and felt admiration and genuine friendship for each other off court. A wonderful model for players and commentators who want to create acrimony and on court drama instead of taking our breath away with brilliant tennis. 👏🎾❤️

    This really is a once-in-a-lifetime moment in the fantastic history of tennis. A great collection of champions past and present and a great competition combine to provide the perfect farewell to Roger Federer and his amazing tennis legacy. 🎾❤️👍🥂

      Hopefully next year he’ll actually be in the main team, considering he’s been an alternate 2 years in a row now

    Is it so difficult to provide the journalist a microphone?! They really didn’t have the budget for that?

    Difference between Novak and Rafa is striking. I respect Novak but there is ice in those veins. What a privilege to be alive when when Roger, Rafa and Novak ruled tennis.

    So glad to see Rafa show up even though he doesn't look too happy. He was quasi miserable at the US Open for a few reasons.

    To those showing disrespect about it being the "Big 4" by saying it's only 3. It always was the Big 4. I'm sure most people in here are too young to remember or don't have a broad enough tennis knowledge but I grew up watching all 4 and on his day Andy was as good as the other 3, sometimes better. Sure he started slower and was always that little bit less consistent but by the end of 2016 he had caught and surpassed a prime Djokovic to rule the world. No easy feat considering Djokovic is still number 1 (only reason Djok isnt ranked top is because he couldnt play all slams this year and wimbledon gave no points) had Andy stayed healthy he most probably would have won at least another 3 or 4 slams, maybe more but we will never know. The truth is that he pushed himself to the limit in 2016 and it destroyed his body, but he did it and no one can take that away from him. Also the fact Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all consider Murray their equal says it all and makes everyone elses opinion obsolete, mine included. Rather than be mean and bitter maybe be thankful because this is the last time we will ever see the big 4 together as players. End of an era

    Appreciate the upload but why on earth is the main description of this video to do with Novak talking about the US Open? Isn't this a video about the Laver Cup?
