Hi Chad, I’m new to wanting to get into kayak fishing tournaments. I live in Utah. Is there anyway you could send me some info or let me know where I can get started. I have fished all my life and did some tournament fishing when I was in my teenage years in North Carolina. Then life just happen and had to work and do what I had to do. I kayak fish now and it’s just become a way of life. I am now in life able to pursue some of the old dreams lol. Would like to start competing. Any info and advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a member of Kayak Fishing Utah and Pineview was one of the only tourneys I've missed, and I wish I would've been there.

Where is a good spot to drop in for a kayak? I was told spring creek

I caught one while Chad Hoover was here at Pineview Reservoir. It was quite the ride!
I caught a 44" tiger muskie on the Friday before the tournament. It was a riot in the kayak! My first muskie ever. Caught a smaller one during the tournament, too.

I never get tired of watching this video! Even though this happened in June, the Pineview tournament (and events surrounding, thanks Kayak Fishing Utah!) was one of my funnest! It was also awesome to meet Chad! One of these days I'll make it into the winners circle, but until then, I'll have a smile on my face with these memories.

I went to Utah last year for a wedding. Stayed in Ogden and hung out at Pineview. Fell in love. If it wasn't for family we would've moved from NC so fast.

Full, about 2900 acres. With our drought, it was about 30-40% lower during filming.

Unfortunately no, I was there in June. But I’m trying to get back out there soon. I was planning to be back last week but I had to deal with COVID and it cancelled my plans

Muskies from a yak is as much fun as you'll be able to stand brother, I do it often in Illinois. we have a large number of lakes with Very good muskies as we speak my best is a 48inch.

The only part of Utah I've experienced is Salt Lake City... I wasn't impressed with it... scenery was drab
If you get away from SLC, Utah is some of the most beautiful scenery there is. Ogden is just north and the lake is in the mountains east of Ogden. Amazing area.
you said you Emmy to Mantua and had a quantity day? think you meant Pineview.
Lol thanks for trying out Utah 😂 our bass aren't the biggest. We do have big trout tho.
