I just acquired a van with an Adrian Steel ladder rack. Every video I've seen shows a demo using extension ladders. I rarely use extension ladders and can't figure out how to secure an "A" frame step ladder. I've tried adjusting it and still can't get it to properly to secure a step ladder. Am I missing an attachment specifically designed for step ladders?

One side is for extension and the other side is made for a A frame.
