Shoeing a Horse With Shoes Made by Someone Else at a Contest

- I went to a horseshoeing competition this last summer in Deer Park, WA and they had all the leftover shoes from one of the classes available for people to take and I grabbed a bunch of the "Lateral Support Shoes" so I could use them in my everyday practice. These hind shoes were made by someone else and I ended up using them on this horse. They certainly have come in handy!

You are the best!
If we ever had a horse or horse’s, and lived in Wash., we would have you as our farrier!!
You are the best on utube!!
Love your work!
❤ from Maryland!
I put on your videos and listen to them when doing chores, cause I like the combo of shoeing sounds and you talking 😂. As a bonus I'm learning about hooves, horses and shoeing haha. Happy New Year! 😊
Great video, Sir. Like the way you explain each step of the shoeing process. Keep em coming...
Thanks for explaining how you knife out the clip seat. I’ve been doing it wrong.
Happy New Year !🎉
Love the way you took and are using the shoes from a competition that would have been thrown out. Great idea and why not use them? Seems that they are working just fine for you.
Really interesting
Nice vid - four things struck me as I watched...and listened - 1) I coulda been listening to my own Instructor Hank McEwan back in 1981, with your running play by play, lol. 2) I pretty much say all the same things to myself on each horse, except in my head, and it's usually Hank's voice I hear naggin' me. 3) With your comments being mini explanations of both what you're doing, and why, maybe you might give some thought to becoming a future Instructor, once your back and knees give out...and they will, lol. No need to ask me how I know. And 4) What's wtith the magnetic tow lights on your Rig's back bumper? 🙂
Thanks for the words. I had a short in the wiring of my trailer and didn’t have the time to get it fixed so I had these laying around and used em temporarily. I actually re-wired the trailer the other day and have all working lights again 👌
All the great trimming shoeing footage, and some idiot picks on your emergency tow lights, eh? lol . Finally got my new Natures Farms tool caddy, was back ordered. Much better than the Cricket.Plus since I'm 75, I get to use it as an old fogey walker! @@USAfarrier-pnwfarriershow
