The orange blossom special is not his music-it's been around since the 1930s. However, i do like the orchestra version they are playing.
Last was the consummate "showman", and all his performances delivered on that promise.

The best "Orange Blossom Special" was preformed in Florida...but it was "blocked off the air" If you can find it, you will certainly enjoy it!! Especially the Violinist REBECCA THUMER!!

If you think you could do better with a camera and recorder that the average person may use, go prove it. It is very difficult to record live in a concert, there is a lot of movement from the people around you if the song is energizing.
Tolle und vor allem unsterbliche!!! Musik. Schade, dass James Last nicht mehr bei uns ist. Mit seinem unvergleichlichen Sound hätte er auch die nächsten hundert Jahre noch bei vielen Menschen diese angenehme Gänsehaut erzeugt.

Too bad the musicians were never interviewed or documented special. So much talent, some for decades with James. I know a large amount of them but some escape me. Violinists were sparse information along the years, unlike the rest of the positions
I want the cute cellist waving her bow through most of this. Sigh... this one definitely WASN'T written for cellos. Love the way she plays it "string bass" style, though.

Da hat der liebe Hansi leider schon NICHTS mehr mitgekriegt...Insider wissen, dass er übern Knopf im Ohr Anweisungen von der Technik bekommen hat
wann er sich wo hindrehen soll und wann die Stücke zu Ende waren und er aufhören sollte zu dirigieren...Schade...ist aber leider so gewesen..

Silly fool. James is well skilled on electric bass guitar and acoustic bass. He has been around for half a century, and adapts all the songs for his band, called arrangements, he re-writes every song for all the various instruments in his band and what part each instrument will play in the song, if at all, how it will be played, and how the finished song will sound, he brings it all together, and directs the entire song. That is basic knowledge, or don't you know anything about music?
@@aboveitall1653 Sorry I asked! But you are correct, I don’t know anything about music but I know what I like and I do like James music very much! I also like Rebecca Thumer ( violinist) - she’s great! But why doesn’t James play an instrument along with all the others - Andre Rier does?!
