Its hilarious seeing the ball bounce Eddy's way like 9 times in a row for his part of the reverse 3-0. Everything was just barely connecting for him in the most lopsided way at the very last moment.
Good for Eddy Mexico, that has to be a milestone for real. Mang0 didn't have a good year but he was still playing as sick as usual. I came here from the Top 100 2023 mentioning that Eddy cemented his position 54 by beating Mang0 in this match. On a side note, as a Spanish speaker I found the commentary a bit annoying, I would love to hear more Spanish speakers in Melee matches, but I felt like most of the time they weren't focusing in the match (an issue that I also hear a lot with English commentators) and lacked some Melee lingo. Quoting Mang0's last video: "I think it comes down to our commentators just really needing to do a better job".

I'm sure they had fun, but At the very beginning, I thought "oh, that's cool", but the bilingual babbling quickly gave me a headache, I ended up reducing the volume to a low minimum. To be fair, it might be less painful when you're a native to either of the languages. My mind just recalibrates from one language to the other very quickly, and when it's that quick while I'm watching something as fast paced as Melee (and the commentary is fast too), and when what I hear is so poor (they are having fun but they barely express anything)... I hope other viewers enjoyed it.

I am excited to hear more Spanish speakers in Melee matches, but in this one in particular it sounded loud, unprofessional (lacking Melee lingo) and I felt they were digressing from the match a lot (which tbh happens a lot with English commentators as well). I enjoyed the match but had to turn the volume down. It has nothing to do with the language switching imo, it's because of other reasons.
que pateticos se escuchan hablando spanglish, olvidense que los americanos verian un stream de ustedes por que le meten español, por profesionalismo se habla en el idioma del publico hacia el que va dirigido, ya se parecen a yaritza jugandola , los unicos que los ven son mexicanos y la mayoria no habla ingles, se hubieran decidido por un solo idioma , el idioma mixto se escucha bien pendejo con todo respeto, ni mencionar que narran como si fuera partido , el juego si me gusto mucho, felicidades a eddy mexico
Tampoco me gustaba. Es dificil adaptar continualmente, cuando las palabras cambian de idioma en la mitad de la frase (soy Francés). No quiero que mi cerebro se concentra en los sonidos que escucho, quiero que se concentra solo en las imagenes. Español o inglés, hay que eligir.
