Historically, the only things NA have gotten "off schedule" are QoL updates and the occasional NA-only event (ie: Thanksgiving), which is usually just some extra SQ/Apples and a repeat banner. I think we got a couple extra reruns of the Bunyan event, too, IIRC.
QoL updates make sense, because those are game engine updates. By giving them to NA early, Lasagna doesn't have to worry as much about serving two wildly different versions of the game. Everything else is content, and that's on two years of delay, give or take.
Haven't summoned since the Bazett banner in February, I'm so ready to finally play the gacha part of this gacha game again.
The hunting quest cameo characters have been telling us the anniversary date each time they appear, how much more announcement do people need?

There's no way that LB7 will be moved around. The January 31st nonsense will probably be tightened up, but there's no way they'll change the order of events.
Korea is doing some amount of catch up from the looks of it. Maybe we could get a couple months of compression to stave off some dead time

The environment update was related to unity (2022), I'm not completely sure but I would guess this is simply a thing that JP did because of ORT back in 2022 and it doesn't really mean much for exclusive content.
Btw we did get little cutscenes in LB6 (although that's just playing a really compressed video file in the middle of dialog)
As far as the memorial quests, I think some people are probably already "full" of the Recollections and Super Recollections from Road to LB7.
Maybe they'll do the Destiny GSSR early.

@@frankmarano1118 its been abnormally bad this year. New players i get asking and wondering when it is. But i saw people trying to reverse engineer the date last week using banners because they truly thought nothing was known. We do this every year ax is a massive event their schedule for large events is known months in advance.

So you want events that are machine translated; assuming that they are at all. Or even better. AI translated. You want nodes and maps cut entirely, banners skipped and bosses put in the wrong order. Kay den I hope you have a JP account.
Fr, wishing for machine translation in a game where story is so important is absolutely wild. Though I guess certain extremely popular gachas show that you can have badly written story and people will eat it up as long as it looks good and you slap enough voice acting on it.
We don't need to skip anything or any AI or rushed translations to lessen the 2 year gap. In the next 2 years there will be so much dead time that they just need to fill the dead time with the next event and this way we can slowly catch up. With this method we would gain about 2-3 months per year without ever "rushing" anything. But no they have made it pretty clear that if JP ever gets a long dead period we will absolutely get it in NA as well.

I can only imagine how that sort of mania would work in FGO. Like; having 4 days to do the summer event because they would have the Halloween one overlapping it.

Cutting down on the massive dead times in the upcoming schedule (while not skimping on the free SQ given) would vastly improve NA player retention. Otherwise, a ton of players will start getting bored after the hype anni/summer and drop off.

@@SergioGarsiaSolano For FGO's somewhat outdated game system. I would definitely love a skip battle or an NP skip option. I've been into the game since 2019 and as a university student, I'd appreciate anything that lets me get through my games quickly.
I don't play the game as much because I already have most of my units levelled and my gacha luck is quite horrendous here. If I've been consistently playing even if it was the past two years, I'd have probably maxed out my Chaldea already since most of my servants left are 3*s and some 4*s
Why would they do that? NA is just the extra pay pig. You don't need to do anything special for them since they are still going to poop out their money to you.

An early Destiny Order would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. Other than that, them accelerating NA by even as little as a month would be cool.

The only solution is to sync NA and JP version and they don't seem to be doing it like never.
I think being 6 months behind really is the sweet spot for still having new content being hype, while still having enough clairvoyance to make an informed decision of when to save pulls. It's really nice in Arknights. At the very least, I think they should aim at getting us to where we're just 1 year behind.
Fully agreed, it's the main reason I dropped FGO a few years ago. Waiting two years is just too exhausting. But AK is the perfect length, I'd prefer to catch up but that's just impossible for games like FGO.
I actually like it. Gives you something to look forward to big picture. You can actually plan as a F2P much better. But most of al it gives me piece of mind knowing it’s still running 2 years from now.
Nah, 6 months is too short for FGO. It works for Arknights because you can save up enough to hit the 300 spark between each limited banner. That doesn’t happen in FGO.
@@emperormaxwell432 6 months might not be enough but you can get close to pity in FGO too. It's way better than having to wait for 2 years and even if you absolutely want pity then 9 months would be a better gap than 2 years.
@@aizeroth8858 to each their own I guess since even with 2 year clairvoyance, it takes a crap ton of luck to pull all the characters I want each year and that’s with my buying the occasional pack.
speeding up means less quartz, never been a fan of the idea. not that in a rush to get to new servants
i wouldnt personally mind a slight speed up with quartz to compensate in the process. 1 year to wait instead of 2 is a lot more bearable. I doubt its happening though because we were having this same discussion last anni when the lotto was taking forever to drop lol
I would absolutely end up missing some things if they sped everything up. I already struggle to complete some events because I just can't dedicate all of my free time to grinding in FGO. As it is I've got Saber Hokusai stuck at np 1 because I failed to make it all the way through her summer event both times, and my Summer da Vinci is stuck at np3. I also missed most of the Nautilus event.

I would like to get LB7 yearlier, but I don't want to skip "Happy new year" line from Kotomine in LB7.
On another hand, closing the gap of entire 1,5 years? Sounds bad, because rushing is bad for translation, bugs, shedule and even pacing. Not everyone would be capable to keep up with non-stop events + LB7, OC and etc. Plus doing that would be extremely unfriendly to new players, and average player in general.
The best thing would be giving new AU (unlikely, because later it will mean that NA would be without AU LONGER than JP).
As for QoL, NA already got them yearlier than planned, especially coin system. Perhaps there's something I missing tho

I'm more curious about the actual hour-to hour time frame.. as in, does the stuff drop during the next reset or do they drop a maintenance at noon and then you get the stuff later at afternoon? asking this, since i'm in eastern Europe and would be easier to plan around it when I know in advance..
they drop a maintenance right before the panel and it's available pretty much as soon as the panel ends at anime expo. This year it ends at noon so whatever noon los angeles time (July 6th) is for you is when it will be available. At least this is how it was for the last few years if I remember correctly, I remember people logging on and rolling like 10 minutes after the panel ended on some years.

Understandably some servant interludes (upgrades) may have story elements that are spoilers so that would have to be released as scheduled, but mighty chains could have been released early as an example.

Two years behind is kind of nice but also wanting Sodom’s Beast for that 10/10 3rd ascension is starting to drive me insane. I would be extremely excited if they announced they could maybe shorten some banners for less popular characters to get us closer to JP.

ya I aint doing those memorial quests, and I much rather they dont give any more of those challenge quests out. I have not been doing them as they are not fun for me.
The NA version was released on June 25, but they moved it to July 6. Instead of getting closer to jp we are moving away from it. I hate it 7 years ago when we are 2 years behind jp and I still hate it today. What's the point of clairvoyance if its 2 years apart. The hype of new servants is cold as ice when it finally drops 2 years later.

I agree it is not as exciting when the servant comes out and we already what they are gonna be like, but I definitely prefer claivoyance above what you will get on JP server. Since that is the general sentiment and they will not skip 2 years ahead I will recommend you play JP server instead and download some mods to make it English.
