New police officers graduate in Edmonton

- The Edmonton Police Service welcomed 49 officers and 3 canine teams Friday, as they formally graduated at city hall. As Laura Krause reports, EPS is looking to recruit a diverse group of individuals.
It takes 3-6 months to become a police officer. And 4 years to become a carpenter or mechanic. Seems off to me.
3-6 months is all that's required to learn to take bribes

The application alone can take up t year’s for some, the initial academy is 6 months and then 6 more months being field trained on the road and then u start learning on your own you will not learn properly by going to “school” when it comes to policing you have to get on the road
@@Gutians Well, if you want to include application times, I had to wait every year (6 months or more) for my application time. So that’s 4 years x 6 months = 2 more years. So if I include my application time it then took 6 years to become a carpenter. Making my initial comment & the police overall look worse.
@@chrisministerofsmartarsery3322 you cant compare the process of getting hired at your local body shop to becoming a police officer you go through a lot of steps and you might not even get through the entrance exam let alone the physical tests or lie detector test. Then the academy itself vets out alot of recruits as well.

Everyone's permitted to wear makeup. The constables who sooner or later are gonna get fired are the officers that have done wrong.
