Very nice. I am a retired furniture maker. Recently I finnished building a 2x4 foot cnc router but it is in a spare bedroom haha. I do have brother and freind looking to pivot in this economic climate. A finnisher and a woodworker. I am working on my vectric aspire and it is great autocad too. I was trying to pull together all my thoughts and you guys solidified them.
Hi. I like the video and find it very informative. My question is: I would like to know how you attached the individual letters. What adhesive did you use on the pre painted background? Did you use DUNA bond? Epoxy? Something else? Thanks
Excellent work as usual guys! I love using Corafoam, but as I've mentioned to Brad at the shows - it's tough to get in the Northeast. Hopefully they keep pushing to get suppliers up here to stock it.
John - thank you for the kind words! We are going to be releasing another video in a month or two with water-based paints, applied with brush + roller.
John - could you please send our Northeast Rep. Hugh, an email? We can connect you with a stocking distributor in the northeast - Hugh.mccusker@dunagroup.com
Hi Mark - this is the Matthews Paint Company system paint line, and it is very similar to automotive grade. You can see more information at: matthewspaint.com/Home.aspx.
Use your foam all the time, it is very excellent. TIP I use dixie cups and popsickle sticks to mix up small batches of bondo. the cup contains the bondo and makes quick mixes truly quick. for larger batches use a larger cup but instead of a popsickle stick use the larger tongue depressor stick. you can also spread small amounts with a tongue depressor by flattening one end on a beltsander. Ill flatten about forty at a time and put them in a coffee can. After use chuck them directly in the trash can. I noticed you guys are still using plastic gun cups, what a pain in the butt. I use the 3m PPS system which is resealable for future use and when your done your done just toss in the waste paint container. I can load up five or six colors with the PPS system and just plug in different colors as needed when doing artwork .Using PPS allows you to clean a gun using Acetone in about five minutes using a squeeze bottle with a nozzle. You should also consider ditching those air DAs, they are dinosours, everybodys going to the new variable speed electric hook loop variety DA that allows quick changes between grits and eliminates the bulky hoses.
Hi William - thank you very much for the feedback! We actually completely agree. Our next video will be featuring water-based paints, applied with brush and rollers for this very reason. Look for it in a month or two!
How do you paint the edges of the letters? I've tried masking, but I can't get it to leave clean lines. Would love to see a video on this.
Great video. Lots of great information and to the point.
Love this video... WOW... Y'all do a great job...
Question:
14:14 ... What is the FONT that says Custom Sign Fabrication?
Is that University Roman?

I'd like to see a video showing how strong this foam is at different densities and what kind of damage it can withstand.
YES... I would like to SEE that too.

Thanks for sharing. Do you have stores near DC area? Thanks.
Looks awesome!
Thanks for sharing. Are you using any special bit? Or I can use 2 flute compression bit? Thx

Hello! I don't know if your channel is still active to responses but, what specific spray gun do you guys use in this specific video? Thanks!
How do you paint the lettering?
Amazing!
How do you match your paint colors? It seams like you are using automotive paint. Is that correct?

Thanks for the compliment! Also, we appreciate the tips. Much appreciated.
It's a good video if you have a paint booth which isn't realistic for doing a foam or mdf sign every two years or so

I love how you're just power sanding polyurethane and paint without a mask. Very carcinogenic.
