I'm a sewing newbie and recently purchased this same Very Easy Vogue pattern! Now I'm so excited to try it out! As always, LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos 🙂
Interesting...did your pattern instructions not include pockets?? The pack I bought includes them! And thank goodness because I'm still a total newbie and appreciated having the pieces and instructions. For me personally, having only really made a pillow case and a tote bag, this was an intimidating but doable project. I had tried V9075 before this but only got as far as the mockup and decided I didn't like doing sleeves just yet, lol, so V9100 ended up being the perfect project! I really appreciated getting to watch this video before starting in, and watching it again now that I'm almost done (months later because... procrastination 😉) I think I _may_ be brave enough to follow your method with the lining and straps for dress number two, but we'll see haha. Thanks so much for sharing!!
So I'm really beginning to think you need a side hussle of reselling fabric on Etsy! Because I can't find this Barbie fabic in Canada and you always find the best prints!!
Just finished up a muslin and thought "there's gotta be a video showing a normal way to do the lining" and here it is. TY

I avoid puting strps together with a slip stitch, it isjust not a smooth look, your dress looks lovely.
