If that small single didn't look bad if they keep trucking along through Fall, drop some campfire method on them for Winter, they could surprise you.👍The boxes are looking good this year I think.
I have a few later season splits that are smaller and I am thinking I may move them to my sectioned long live for the extra warmth. If anything get yourself a screened double divider board (sorry I can't remember the name) and stack the smaller on top of a strong colony for added warmth, it can end up helping both colonies with warmth over Winter.

Martha looking good if you can get her up in third box that be great but not needed. Must be something going with virus or something at the hunting yard because they shouldn't need feed in the middle of goldenrod field.. corn syrup made them lazy.. I'll have to get you some bergamot seeds so they have that July and August takes two seasons before it blooms but once it's started keeps coming up and spreads . Maybe they are using it to brood up huge I'm seeing huge brood nest.. that yard packed up nice in goldenrod those bees are nice and full of fat ..

Out of curiosity, what USDA climate zone are you in? I'm assuming it's 5 or 4b.

All you can do is feed and pray bro. If you have a really strong hive you could steal a brood frame to give the weak hive a population boost. But make sure your mites are in check before you start swapping frames around😄

They just keep coping the old European stuff. We used bags for syrup in the 80s.. and the flat 1kg patties in plastic are the only way you can buy them here.
When they say holes they mean pin holes

I started using fondant in February only thing they take.. ended up being best feed because it's inverted sugar.. I started my nuc battery in July I gave them what I had left of fondant they draw comb better on it that my reg syrup.. that syrup she's using probably inverted as well like that mann lake syrup it's expensive but really see a pop feeding it. I ended up coming up with simple fondant recipe in the microwave. Start by grinding it to powder add water splash of vinegar and 4 minutes for 3.5 lb of mix .. Ziploc bags Im used.. tried stovetop that's dangerous I won't try that again

You suit is getting dirty girl, your going to have to throw it in the wash this Winter.
The hives are contracting well they know what time of year it is, just keep an eye on food levels over the next month. With the extra bees this time of year we need to watch out for the level of eating before we button them up for Winter.
