You'll need the Cellar key to open it. After you kill the captain, open the locked door in Memorials (near the rogue that tries to ambush you). Down the stairs, turn back and you'll see a wall. Break it. Talk to the ghost and then attack it. After grabbing items and exploring the way, enter the big door to the citadel (by the open area you fought the boss). Kill the three knights and grab the Cellar key near the wall.
once you bust through the wall & go left through the wall opening where the spider is hanging from the roof to the right… straight ahead there’s a locked door w a spider on the roof… what key unlocks tht door?
How come there is citadeller chest key in your video and two audio notes i am sure that i am at the same place but no key and audio notes only differece you are at annihlator am at commander maybe possible that coming back further in the game seems an option but i would like an answer why they are not there in the beginning can someone help me please??
The area changes as you progress. Enemies will upgrade as the game goes on and so do certain secrets an audio notes. It encourages the player to try the area again earlier in a NG+ or re-exploration of the maps in a single play through. It's not a linear game.
I didn't see the monk either. I assume he is behind the first locked door, but I don't have a key for that. Anyone know if that is where the monk is and/or where the key to the door is?
damn, i had notice the damaged wall, i try hit running and press E and he jump and do the strong hit, and nothing, i tryed RAM , nothing, i tryed the projectiles and nothing, and its just like that, running with a shield against the wall, and blast the wall, lol, this walls should be broken with more ways, the logic of running with a shield is the more weak, the projectiles, the strong hit, RAM and more, they had more impact compared with just running against the wall lol, with this logic, we should kill the monsters with one hit just running against them with a shield lol, thanks for video dude
I didnt find Citadel key or the monk, although i did find 2 empty bottles “bringing my health to 14 bottles mow,. Idk what i did differently to do so,.
+Dark Avenger You mean the very first door after breakable wall? Later in the game, when you return to citadel last time and humans are marked as enemies (most of them) one knight drops "Cellar Key". This key opens that door. There is one spider and chest with Great Hammer Law ;)

On early game there will be infected ones and on later rogues, shieldmans etc. He is on very late game when he needs to kill last lord and last boss. If you are able to kill everything with easy on first try, it's about 30 minutes left of the game. Also it's first gameplay, on NG+ he would have better stats (mainly endurance), he would be using Shelter spell instead of Ram spell (warrior combat style + paladin spells is deadly combo with Shelter) and he would be using Peacemaker Great Sword which is the best sword in the game on NG+ ;)
Well i am at the end of ng+ and i dont use Peacemaker, because i think it is too slow. And yes i play a heavy armor warrior, and i use the Guards Sword with a flawless poison rune, much better in my opinion. And also i still only have 25 endurance wich i got during my first playthrough. You cant just assume that just because you do it like that, then everybody else does too :p Other than that, you are right about the enemies and the shelter spell, i love that spell ;) but i still use rage once in a while. And yes i am replying to a 9 month old comment lol
Well heres a tip.......for your style (Axe) "REMINDER" is faster and stronger than "guards sword", well at 31 strength it is, figure it is always after requirements met
Monk only shows up after you get the mission...You get it after talking to Antanas. The monk who gives the mission is at the door that leads to the spiral steps.

I think the one you're talking about opened after I killed the beast boss. I left the area and when I came back there was a guy standing over the beast's body. he asked me to kill another beast that spits poison. when I went there the door was open.
+Mad Daddy Gamer The game slows it down by itself sometimes when it thinks you will heave "epic killing blow". Sometimes those slows are really epic. It's called bullet time effect and appears mainly with heavy attacks ;)
I'm sure you aren't still stuck after 5 years, but for posterity, there is a lever on the floor right by the door. I didn't figure that out until this video but you can also log out and log back in and end up at your last save location.
Remember getting the hint about that wall from the game, breaking it down, then being slaughtered by that damn spider a moment later...which actually all just happened less then 20min ago xD~

Maybe they updated the game so that you don’t need it. I’m pretty sure it’s just used to get the Caccon shield but now it’s just 3 runes

These fucking spiders are tougher - by far - than any boss I've fought in the game. Actually, they aren't tough - they're cheap.

The Cellar Key you get from the Greatsword wielding knight by the Square of Heroes exit in the Citadel right before the end of the game.

You need to raise your shield just as you hit the wall and shield bash through

Thanks my friend. But, why you appear different enemies? I just started the game and the north wing area there are simpler enemies.

I did figure this out after a while (when I posted this comment I barely bought the game at the time). Thanks for taking the time to answer anyway :)
You can put your enemies on slow motion mode with the cleric build with the spell ability Daze, you of course won‘t swing in slow motion.
