I totally get it. It is worth it to make room for books we want, though I'll confess it took me over 40 years to finally unhaul some books. 😂

Once I asked a local thrift store if they could pick up my books from home. they didn't. So I throw out almost a whole library in the recycling bin of my apartment building. I filled up one and a half containers. I was so upset. Quite recently i went to that shop and bought there Louise penny books, paperbacks for 5 Euros witch was a real bargain. What I want to say is they could have made a lot of money with my books back than wehen the charge 5 Euros on a paperback. today I am going to the open book box from time to time and at the next days my books are always gone. I cant sell them because posting is to expensive. here.

What a shame to throw away books. I'm surprised they weren't interested in them.
Is the open book box like street libraries? I love the idea of sharing books this way.

The Throne of Glass comment made me laugh haha though I believe that original edition might fetch a nice price as it is older and some collectors enjoy owning multiple of those (I've seen them go for around $100 USD on some sites).

Nahhhh…. You? Unhauling? I don’t believe it!!! I am so proud of you! Finally!!! 😂
As you say… it just makes some room for new books.
I also sorted my books recently. I took around 20 to op shops to donate. I have another 20 to exchange in the second hand bookstore, and I am hoping to sell some too. But yes, I haven’t stopped buying books so you don’t notice any difference when you look at my books…
