    This man is timeless and his Soul and Spirit still emanate among us because of these renderings of his teachings

    Thank you. This was good to listen to in the middle of this night between Good Friday and holy Saturday. C.S. Is so articulate about the events…and helped my unbelief on this night.

    “He has met fought and beaten the king of death.” Hallelujah He is risen, He is risen indeed. “O death where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory? Oh Saviour is to be praised forevermore.

    Lewis' insight into the Scriptures is impressive and stems from his logical way of looking at the message of the Gospel.

      He was an Arminianist. He believes faith precedes regeneration and in synergism .
      But it thats not what the Bible teaches that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth

      @@HonorableMention83oh, he wasn’t perfect?! I have a number of saved and loving Christian friends who lean more into the Arminian camp than I like, but I think @lindacook8819 was talking about Jesus and His victory. Let’s keep the divisiveness out of here please, friend🙏🏼 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35, ESV)

      @hp2402 oh cs lewis? CS Lewis is an Arminianist. Semi-Pelagianism. Synergism he believes faith precedes regeneration. Its Monergism. As Thomas Aquinas taught operative grace not co-operative grace.
      As did Augustine, Luther, Calvin, Jonathan Edwards. Lewis is with Joseph Arminius, Wesley, Erasmus. No man can come to Christ unless God makes them.

What is Satan but God’s executioner to punish man’s ingratitude?

    It appears that at least one of the Gospels WAS written, at least in part, to outsiders to help them become believers. For John writes in John 20:30‐31 - "Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of his disciples which are not written in this book; but these have been written SO THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, you may have life in His name."

    • @darkknightsds
      @darkknightsds 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’re mistaken. Apologetics exist largely to reinforce beliefs of those who already belong to the group.

    • @txazfan5049
      @txazfan5049 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @darkknightsds Apologetics apply to the defense of a belief; evangelism applies to the promotion of a belief to those who are not believers. The Apostle John is known as John the Evangelist.

    • @darkknightsds
      @darkknightsds 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First of all, no one with a brain considers the apostle and the evangelist to be the same person. Literally no one with a brain thinks this. Second, the fourth Gospel was 100% meant for the Johannine community, all of whom were believers, to strengthen their faith. Like do 5 basic minutes of research and you'll learn this. Stop being an ignorant and naive Christian, that hurts the faith.@@txazfan5049

      Although it is wonderful to have these available, it is oh so slightly offensive to the purist English ear; a little like the Americanisation of the English in scripture. Plow, color etc.

    Except Easter is not Passover, but a feast day of false gods, celebrated by Herod, that (usually, though not this year) falls during the feast of unleavened bread.
    Acts chapter 12.

    Enjoying listening C S Lewis. The title shall be Resurrection NOT Easter. I rebuke the pagan worship name "Easter".
    Passover is the true time of the Lord Yeshua's crucification. The First fruit Feast is the time of resurrection which has nothing to do with idolitrous Easter. Can gentiles learn Hugh lesson from Israel's rebellion against the Glorious God.
    Be ware of what would the Lord Yeshua say about it. I believe it is an abomination. Separate your self from the world. Be holy because the Lord is holy.

    CS. Lewis taught falsehoods because he was an Arminianist and because Arminianism is false teaching . Its not the freedom of the will, Erasmus, but we are the bondage of the will, Luther. Justification by faith alone.

    1. No apostle claimed to have witnessed the resurrection. Paul, who had never met Jesus, claimed that some apostles had witnessed a living Jesus well after the resurrection was supposed to have happened. 2. Riddle us this, please. Why would Jesus, an omniscient and omnipotent singular, three-person, deity, make a torture sacrifice of himself to himself so he could forgive the humans he created for doing things he already knew they would do?

      To get people to believe, know that we all will carry our crosses, as NO a man is above pain and suffering . God sent Jesus to full fill the human aspects of pain and suffering to a degree no person since haas went through and why? For the love of all man kind. Mary , John and Mary Magdalene all saw the horror . As far as apostles look up how a doubting Thomas was started . He doubt Christ resurrected until he felt his wounds . Christ is Love. He is the lamb of the Old Testament renewed . Lookup the words about the lamb slain In The thorn bushes .
      What did Christ have pushed into his skull ? A crown of thorns.
