CS Lewis's observations help bridge our moral aspirations with the practicality of today's life on earth. These are incredibly valuable readings to ponder: they certainly do not define our faith - the Cross and Christ's atoning sacrifice alone does that - but as so many of us generally tend to see our spiritual lives as completely unrelated to this carnal existence, Lewis allows us to see a way to find relevance of one for the other. One does not have to agree completely with all of his theological views to derive enormous value from these words.
I’ve avoided this man’s reading for years becuase I thought myself not adequate to absorb it. I’ve been cheating myself. There’s no pretension. I am happy I dove in.

Quite nice reading voice and quite nice ideas; in contrast to the entire media of our day.
What a mind and heart Lewis had !
One of my favourites
The voice is good one
Thank you
Thank you for these beautiful essays 🙏
Would love to know the narrator in all these. Been so nice to listen to as I go to bed and keep me from scrolling.
Geoffrey Howard (a.k.a. Ralph Cosham).
