बहुत अच्छी बात बहुत अच्छे अंदाज से बयान की आपने। बहुत बहुत बधाई। एक बात याद करे कि फ़िल्म बैजू बावरा के गानों के लिए निर्माता कवि वर प्रदीप को लेना चाहते थे। मगर नोशाद सा ने कहा कि शकील सा ही लिखेंगे। निर्माता ने कहा कि फ़िल्म में भजन है। शकील सा मुस्लिम समुदाय से है कैसे होगा। पर नोशाद सा अड़ गए कि शकील बदायूं ही लिखेंगे। फिल्मी हो कि इल्मी शकील बेस्ट है। चूंकि निर्माता संगीत कार के लिए नोशाद का मन बना चुके थे इसलिये बड़े झिझकते हुए बेमन। से शकील के लिए राजी हुए। मन में था कि यदि गाने अच्छे नहीं बने तो प्रदीप जी से लिखवाएंगे। लेकिन निर्माता तो दूर पूरी दुनिया दंग रह गई। बैजू बावरा के गाने सुनकर। फिल्मी दुनिया का आज तक का बेहतरीन भजन बना मन तड़पत हरि दर्शन को आज। कोई यह सोच भी नहीं सकता कि एक मुस्लिम शायर ऐसा लिख सकता है। फ़िल्म आदमी में अद्वेत दर्शन आ गया। पहुंचा हूँ जहाँ नहीं दूर जहाँ भगवान भी मेरी निगाहो से। आज पुरानी राहों से कोई मुझे आवाज न दे। नोशाद साहब ने अमीन सयानी के बिनाका गीत माला में शकील सा को जो श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की है वो इतनी मार्मिक है कि कलेजा मुँह को आता है। बेमिशाल शायर को नमन।
