I don't know what K Viswanathji has to say about this, as the lyrics of this song may not be as classical as the other songs of this film, but in the Telugu original, there is a (dream)song at the end when the heroine sees the 'ghungroo' and 'dafli' side by side. So in the Telugu original, a song sequence was there right at the end, and to me, and I think to all those who saw the Telugu original, this sequence for the song does not seem to be out of place.
