Lawrence is right, when I was working in the woods in the northwest, I got hit by a rattler, our side rod took a wire and hooked it to the spark plug of a chain saw, shocked the hell out of me, but by the time I got to the hospital {2 hours later}, the swelling had almost dissapeared.

I shared your video with my wife. She also agrees that you are absolutely adorable and Lawrence is an excellent example of what a man, father, husband and provider should be. She loved the family and the way you all farm and family together. Our kids were homeschooled and she wondered if you homeschooled your kids too. She is now hooked on your videos. She calls them wholesome, uplifting, and says the world needs more families being raised like you and Lawrence are doing it. She also said Lawrence is adorable too. Thank your family for us please! Oh, you also said "I praise Jesus for it". Thank you for being real and speaking from the heart. You and your family are awesome embassadors for real family life.

A quick way to fill those holes on the gate and stop the wasps is a can of spray foam. Stick the straw in there and spray, the wasps will get stuck in it if they try to come out right away and then the foam will get hard. Just have somebody watching for other holes you might not see where wasps could be trying an end-around-sweep! (football fans will understand)

It does work - I've seen it work.
I use copper pennies to neutralize bee/wasp/yellow jacket stings - copper neutralizes formic acid in the bee sting. According to some friends, if you're allergic to the stings use the shock method & take Benedryl.
I worked at an animal park & our snake man got rattlesnake bit. The guys used the plug wire on the riding lawnmower to shock his finger - shocked him 3 times. Doctor was expecting to have to amputate his finger, but it was barely swollen and bruised. Doctor wrote a paper documenting this as an effective treatment and sent it in to a medical journal for publishing - not sure which one.
Tasers are popular in way out regions in central & South America to deal with venom. You're days away from a small clinic, much less a hospital. You do what you gotta do.

You and Lawrence's life as relatively small farmers and ranchers is typical these days. It takes an extra source of income to make it financially. Your TH-cam, Photography and other Ventures are an amazing asset. I admire your perseverance to make a life doing the things you obviously love. My guess is you were a heck of a feed salesman. On another note I would love to see fields, crops and pasture in as good shape in central Texas where I live as they appear in your area. It is dry, dry and dryer here. Thank You for sharing your family and life with us who will never see that style of living again.

October 29,2023’. Meredith,Lawrence,Wesley and Austin Bernard you are an awesome farming family. Farming is a 24/7 job with a never ending caught up life. I also enjoy watching you cook. My granny made biscuits like and she taught me how too. Thanks again for sharing your videos and I Pray God’s Blessings for all of y’all 👍👍🙏🙏🇺🇸. Lawrence you are not crazy because when I was a little girl my grandaddy did that for a snake bite. Some old people back in the days would cut an x across a snake bite and suck out the poison and after a couple of days that person was ok. Bee sting put honey on the place somebody got stung and it draws out the poison and pain. Just stay away from bees after putting the honey on the sting area! 👍👍

God bless you Meredith from we the people from Iowa, 27 counties were effected and several worse that others. The Damage path start around Jefferson, Iowa in Central Iowa and was 150miles wide by 792 miles long. In some areas the corn has been laid flat like ankle high and grain bins and machine shed have been leveled along with some hotels and apartment buildings scattered across the state. Around Marshaltown to Cedar Rapids was probably the worst area but I would say the crops are almost at a 100% Ioss across half the state.

Need Calcium from chickin egg shells or oyster shells worked into the soil at planting time to stop blossom end rot. cut the root end off a white or yellow onion and rub it on a wasp or bee sting, and that will stop the pain. the white juice from a onion root end is codeine, and stops the pain....

By the way, Lawrence's 100% correct about treating snake bites with a shock of DC current. I've used a wire hooked up to a coil on a vehicle and a wire hooked on a gas lawnmower engine to treat bites on my hunting dogs and friends.

  • @bostarbird5282
    @bostarbird5282 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Buddy of mine here in Florida raises hunting dogs of all sorts. He keeps a extra really long sparkplug wire. And when a dog is bitten he'll ground the dog to the battery of the truck with a wire ( a little moisture usually beer for added assistance) and will run the sparking wire, truck running of course, all around where the pup was bitten. Claims he hasn't lost a pooch since he started doing that over 30 years ago. Never heard it working on wasp and bee stings (we always used chewing tobacco) but I'll try it next time I get stung. Thanks for reminding me about it. And thanks for sharing your farming life with us.

Meredith.... Makeup doesnt matter when you are a natural beauty. With a lot of people beauty is only skin deep but with you it goes all the way through and that makes it so real. It is easy to see the beauty in you. I think the most beauty showed through when you were talking about helping the Iowa farmers......you can see the beauty in your heart and those tears that well up in your eyes show it is real. You are blessed my Dear and the world is blessed to have you in it. Is there ways we can donate to your fund to help the Iowa farmers? Im sure many good people just like yourself are affected. During these times of rioting and looting it makes you appreciate the people that really show what this country is

Meredith, I think I've posted this before, but here goes again.
I you take one of the propane torches that have the self igniter and only squeeze the trigger part way, that should turn on the gas flow. If you take that torch and place the tip in the hole that the wasps or hornets are accessing to their nest, partially squeeze the trigger, count to 8, then squeeze the trigger it will ignite the propane and cause a small explosion inside the tube killing the bees. It works better than the diluted sprays being sold today.
If you continue to have a reaction to the stings, you should see a doctor to prescribe an Epipen, as you could go into anaphylactic shock where your throat swells up and you aren't able to breath.

Our farm family loves watching yours!! My farmer husband so enjoys hearing anything Lawrence has to say. They think the same. Farmers are “cut from the same cloth”. God is good to have blessed us both with Farmer Husbands!!
On the Gates we use the cans of crack fill foam. Just a little squirt in the holes, the foam expands and the wasp can’t get back in. Being a gate boss myself I have to help myself every opportunity possible and it’s an inexpensive way to keep the nest builders out!!
God’s Hand of protection over you all!!

I remember reading many stories about men getting snakebit in South & Central America where they were many hours or days from a hospital and they used the spark plug on the outboard motor on their boats to neutralize the venom. They swore by it because they didn't have time to get to a Dr. for treatment.

I am so happy for the way y'all are raising your children. Hard work makes enlightened, courteous, courageous, and strong willed men. To know a hard days work, it to know ones appreciation for life, liberty, justice, and how to enjoy the small and subtle things in life. Like the gaze of a red sunset.

Meridith, go to Walmart, get a bag of southern biscuit mix, just add milk or buttermilk, mix and no mess, I just throw mine on a cookie sheet and spread it out, throw in oven and throw on table, call it pone bread, they break off a piece and they are great, trey it , you'll like it.
