Even in the current version of Termina, you cannot dash during the beginning dream sequence. It works after you wake up
No worries here even afterwards you can't
Actually if you get out of your wheelchair and equip it again as Olivia you'll be able to dash in the dream sequence
Actully, it unlocks as a soon as you finished the cubes in worskshop. No idea why.
That really messed me up the first time I played. Tried running in the intro, realized I couldn’t, figured it worked like in FH1 and then didn’t try again for 3 hours

Well, if you didn't know, there wasn't run button even when termina got released. It was added in a future update. So A lot of people had to play a FULL game without running

It kinda does make sense that termina is "less packed"
Termina is a village, there is just long walks in villages with nothing happening.
While Funger 1 was in a dungeon, where things need to be in smaller spaces, jam packed close corridors etc.
but i do agree that without dashing this would be way way to tedious to go through over and over again.
All around i love F&H2 for the character stories that play out, enemies like needles are just amazing, but something that the dev is seemingly also trying to add, is adding a difficulty thats harder but not just masox mode. The jump between "Normal" and "Maso" is too big basically. Id love a difficulty between thats much harder, but you can still do the normal party stuff, character stories etc.
Ofc it can make sense in a village, I dislike it tho

I do think that the lack of running makes you contemplate your actions more? There's a lot more freedom in termina, and its sorta like another pain simulator, pathologic - Where the walking gives a break from the action at times, and you get a light break to get your thoughts together while you go to your next goal, knowing that your hunger is dropping as you're taking that sweet, long time.

By the way, the horrifying sounds you hear in the old part of Prehevil at 12:46 are actually still in the game, but in a different location! It plays this sound in the orphanage but it's quieter I think
11:35 About small key, I found a Neighbor in Mold Apartments Rher Dimension that can be searched infinite number of times. So you can get infinite arms and legs, rusty pipes, shillings and small keys. You usually don't need that's many rusty pipes, but other items are pretty valuable. The problem is there are around twenty neighbors in Mold Apartments in Rher's Dimension, but only one with this bug. You can test this by yourself if you want, I think that this bug must be consistent.
Imagine if after the mind meter depletes past a certain point tge character start hallucinating and there greatest fears start coming to life and the can't differentiate between imagination and reality

While im a fan of the first game, i love the second game so much more. Termina is a game i could call one of my favorites easily while 1 is definitely a game of all time in my opinion, 2 just feels so much more like a game made to be played and enjoyed and the characters and story i found where way more interesting

yes frap playing termina what a great day. fear and hunger is that one game series that i could wait forever for updates and not complain. also your normal fear and hunger intro is fire but the termina one goes so hard i love it, i can understand some locations being quite empty but at the same time i kinda feel like it fits the atmosphere
Termina is imo a huge improvement of a sequel. It's an upgrade kinda like going from Zelda 1 to Link to the Past for me. There's so much more character and complexity, a ton of little improvements that make it feel like a generational leap, and overall IMO the writing is way better. The things Fear and Hunger 1 had that Termina doesn't mostly make the game better for their absence, like the sexual assault and the torches system. There's no more level randomization, but considering the huge upgrade in detail/fidelity in Termina's world that feels like a fair trade-off.
i'd love it if you started tier lists and challenge runs for terminal as well

I am a fan of the intros. I especially like this one.
As for my opinion about Termina, I do like it a bit more because all of the interaction with the characters. I do like playing as Marina and trying to find all the places that Samarie watches you from, things like that.
I see what you mean, mind you those interactions are present even in the first one tho

Since you asked O'ssa is pretty OP (having survived a ritual where you go through the Fear & Hunger dungeons).
The reason why there is a Crow Mauler is maybe because it was left alive as it also does Rags work of killing dungeon monsters.
Would be interesting to see more of Tanaka Pav and Rags (descendant).

I love Frapollo's intros, I love how its sitcom for the first game and the 2nd game is a banger, even if its long a lot of anime intros are, but I'm glad there is no "skip intro" button, especially when Frapollo responds to the commenter :D

I like the first game but Termina improves on everything with a new twist to the gameplay. I think the main appeal of the first game is that it's more "raw" in its themes but Termina has been a much smoother and enjoyable experience for me and I got way more immersed in the story. I finished the game 3 times (all 3 endings) and only after that I found out about sulfur from youtube and I think it's really cool because it not only fools the characters in-game, but it also fools the player in the exact same way

Started playing Termina again after going back to the 1st one and agree with your stance on "map density". Previl is a confusing ass labyrinth at times it feels. Plus Day 1 being relatively bare compared to Day 2 and 3 makes it feel like it's a grinding day to get gear, or I haven't found everything you could do.
Overall Termina is still good, but I still prefer the dungeon over the city

In both versions, the Vile's coinflip attack won't activate if you take out the left arm. He needs to breathe in the chemicals from the canister for it to work.
That phase in animation when you first meet perkele is baller, shame it got removed but im sure Miro had a good reason (the kneeling is still awkward for me though)

If you destroy the gas canister of the pig mask guy and then try to trigger the event with talk to insta-kill him, the coin flip event won't trigger. It honestly makes sense from a logical standpoint.

The Vile was locked into an infinite dialogue is probably because you destroyed the canister hand, which is the one that leaks the gas and kills him. If I'm not mistaken ofc.
I think that is actually the case! There's lots of small attention to details in these games. I think the game just can't trigger the enemy animation if the 'enemy' responsible for the canister is, well, destroyed. The coin flip doesn't play either. Strange little interaction, wonder if this is also in the full game now!
