**HOW TO GET EVANGELION 13**: On the Stage where Shinji goes Psuedo Evol and you have to fight Mazinger Zero, you must do two of three things with Shinji: He must kill the 9th Angel (Bardiel, the Black Evangelion), he must kill the 10th Angel (Zeruel, the ribbons thing that's holding Rei), and/or he must be an Ace (so 60 kills, or 50 with a specific skill). If two of those three things are done, the next scenario will be a secret scenario. You will get Mari on this stage (one ahead of regular play because of that), Asuka and Rei will also be fielded to fight some random Gardim mooks and a few old Angels, and then Shinji and Kaworu will show up in 13 promptly followed by the rest of your squad. It's an easy mission if you play defensively even if you never upgraded 00 and 02.
To get the secret scenario, do the followings: 1. Have Kouji beat Berserk Eva in Scenario 20-something 2. Have Shinji defeat Bardiel 3. Have Shinji defeat Mazinger ZERO 4. Have Shinji defeat Zeriel You don't need any other requirements, and I myself rather use unit 01 than 13.
Might I ask the following: 1. Is Shinji aced when defeating Bardiel and Zeriel? 2. Did you take the route UC route split? (Because I didn't) 3. Did Shinji assisted Emperor G? I think the condition is fulfilled by having Shinji save her sister and possible lover though. Something Anno hasn't given to him even in the remake, lol.
Normally I'd abuse the hell out of awakened Eva 01 but I choose Eva 13 instead because Kaworu has really nice spirits. It can easily deal 100k damage with Zeal/Soul combo in 1 phase. The only problem with Unit 13 is the EN but it can be easily fixed with a part.
It's a secret unit that is unlocked in a secret scenario, so if you don't get the secret scenario, I do believe that the Unit 13 gets no mention whatsoever.

In the NGE2 video game which Anno helped write, he's confirmed as flat-out gay and in love w/ Shinji lol. & in a guidebook written by Anno, he's called Shinji's "same-sex love interest" But whatever, it's not really that important what he really feels anyway, more how Shinji interprets his feelings.
You know, it's kinda funny that, no matter what, the top-level tech of any real robot out there is Funnels. Granted, Evangelion isn't a real robot, but it still got Funnels.
And said funnels also have both offensive and defensive functions, like my Fin Funnels, my grandson Unicorn's Shield Funnels, Qan[T]'s GN Sword Bits and AGE-FX' C-Funnels

What I did was have Ahinji kill the first angel he fights than I had Shinji, in the stage before this, kill the 9th angel m, Mazinger Zero and the 10th Angel.
I hope someday they decide to make srt game for pc with lord of elemental style approach to battle animation. seriously stupid mistake to not release that in the west along with the og games for ps2 & 3

so I'm guessing by unlocking unit-13 it'll replace unit-01. Is it really worth losing the pseudo-evolution transformation over this. This is mostly reused asset from Z3, and we finally get to use the transformed state to fight in this game instead of a cutscene in Z3
EVA-01 hits like a truck at pseudo evolution (rivalling friggin Mazinger Zero) but to get to that requires hell lotta moral at 170. Eva-13s damage output is not nearly as much (still fairly okay however), but Kaworu provides more SP which is especially handy in V where SP points is nerfed across the board, and has a great set of commands he can use Since EVA-01 can still be used after this scenario instead of lost forever (you can choose whenever you want Shinji to be in either 01 or 13 similar to mobile suit pilots) there is no loss unlocking this scenario.

It's more powerful from the get go, But Pseudo Evo unit 1 is much stronger. Having even higher attack power and comes with HP recovery M and EN recovery Large and it also stacks with the 10% TAC Bonus passive. Of course the main advantage over unit 01 would be that Kaworu provides additional spirits.
It's kinda trouble to reach that state, while 90% Synchro Rating isn't too hard to reach, as Shinji gets 30% bonus at beginning once he becomes ace pilot, and Eva-01's custom bonus (double Synchro Rate gain) also helps. But 170 Will is a total pain in the ass, first you MUST unlock Shinji's Will's up-limit to 170 by learning 3rd level of "Focus Over Limit", then you need other skills and parts to boost his base Will and Will's gain rate. Since I haven't use EVA yet, it's just my assumption at the synchro rate part, while the Will part is base upon the experience of using Mazingar Zero (easier to reach, you only need 150 Will). Much apology if I get it wrong.

There is no 3.0 at all unless you unlock the secret scenario. Basically, Kaworu doesn't even appear in normal circumstances.
