Great video, the wall looks amazing 1 - The print plate TABS need to be facing front/back, not left/right... Every time you printed, you had the plate in the bad orientation, the back tab is used for calibration. BambuLab does make amazing printers and still managed to pull it off 2 - You were experiencing warping in your prints, you can disable all the FANS easily, this helps A LOT with PETG, PC and ABS materials. You can also add a BRIM in Bambu Slicer, helps even more Keep it up, good luck in your 3D printing journey!
Yes, 3 or 4 layers with the fans off in the settings for the filament does wonders to prints which won't stick. Brims help when the contact points are thin, but if the surface area being printed is large they shouldn't be needed.
As someone who has also just gotten into 3d printing you have summed up my inner monologue about how I feel perfectly. Thankyou for another amazing video. Cant wait for the palletwood egg chair.
That lamp looks amazing especially in concert with the loose stack wall. Great job Jesper !!! As a craftsman and woodworker but also a lifelong super fan of Star Trek I've been on the fence about a printer. Turns out replicators are real. Life is good
Beautiful! You are so brave to attempt something so technically challenging! I can't figure out my phone! Your friend who sent you the plans was so kind and understanding, obviously has a wife who has similar traits to yours, HA! Keep working on these unusual projects, they make watching so much fun! Your work is amazing, thanks for sharing your hit and miss journeys with us! Hugs from frozen Michigan, USA!
What a crazy journey youve been on. Kudos. Next step would be to print a complete string of leaves, rendering half the assembly needles and allowing more light. Id make every other frame red/yellow/red/yellow to make it Verner Panton-ish. Although a thoroughly well thought out design, it somehow comes off as a chunky frame with detailed leaves. Like a snowflake on a steelbar. I think the transparent leaves make it airy/light but is somehow grounded by the dark skeleton. Super cool design and everything and design is just a matter of taste in the end. Great video
‘Holy crap it’s cute’ love it 😂 The lamp looks great. I love my P1S ❤, it’s true, it does feel like Christmas when you wake up each morning to a new print. The nervousness of wondering if you will wake up to a successful print or spaghetti just adds to the excitement lol.
Nothing wrong with the wooden lamp shade but the 3D printed version spectacular maybe add a branch or a wooden arm from the wood stack wall. But I can imagine anything you can imagine and create well be perfect absolutely superb.
I would love to make this tiny and make the base hold the bambu led light thing like most people make a moon lamp from, I feel like it would fit fine on my A1 Mini. Also I feel like making it in green filaments could let it look like a plant. ALSO, I keep seeing you touch the build plate and having issues. You HAVE to keep your fingers off the plate bro. PEI plates like those REQUIRE cleaning. Wash it in HOT water and blue Dawn and NEVER TOUCH it with your fingers. Dry it by paper towels with them wrapped around your hand and I also recommend printing a plate handle you can find on maker world.
I was just about to say you no the pallets and our favourite Australian is gonna be hating you right about now then you dropped the pallet egg chair 😮😮 the internet needs you to do this jesper. Amazing video and glad it got the approval of the wife. Hope your well mate have great Christmas and we need get catch up in new year 🫡🏴👍
Wow I love it!!! It looks amazing and I love the wall!! You are a joy to watch and its even better to know your efforts are endorsed by your wife and daughter! I hope you all have a very Merry Xmas and New Years. I can't wait to see more of your videos in the New Year. ❤❤❤❤
Good Evening,Jasper and family, that was very interesting, the main thing is that the boss loved 🥰 it , and some brownie points, you could make a curved standard lamp stand for the light, good luck with your projects look forward to seeing some more, I’ve often thought about getting a 3-D printer, but my knowledge of computers et cetera there is not very good, then of course is the cost, I wish you and your family and your friends a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year , 🥳, I’m afraid to say that it is something I do not appreciate any more, I will be cooking myself a piece of turkey leg, and some veggies and that will be it, Stay safe keep up the great work very enjoyable territorial the laugh of fun jokes , from France
Welcome to the world of 3D printing! The possibilities are almost endless. Don't let the bad filament experience turn you off of trying different brands!
Awesome, Jesper! Love that you are embracing modern technology whilst still keeping the natural wood elements there. The lamp is really beautiful 😍 well done
Great Light project Jasper, I agree a 3D printer is a fantastic addition to a workshop, Like you I have a P1S worked great but failed after week 7 since then have been battling with their refusal to recognise the issues and replace the unit. Shame as I would be more than happy to just have a replacement. But I does print out solid projects and the library of things to print already designed by other 3D cad designers is awesome. Graham
Awesome!!! PLA will eventually warp with the heat from the light but the PC parts should be fine. I think most people would recommend PETG or maybe ABS to withstand the heat, even though it's a small amount of heat.
Haha Jasper brilliant video. Husband now put the 3D on his Letter to Santa. However the pinecone lamp would be great like a bundle of several of different sizes. Each with its own bulb and hanging as a chandelier. Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
Hey Jesper, the lamp is beautiful, and I even loved the wood one too. I hope you're using an LED bulb, an incandescent one might end up melting the petals..The built-in disadvantage of 3D printer filament is that it has to melt to be useful; PLA melts at 170ºC which is a temp an incandescent light bulb in a fixture could reach. I have been doing 3D modelling for mechanical design for 30 years, and while you might be too far down the Blender road to start over with something else, let me just give you my 2 krone: Blender is a nightmare. You can get a Solidworks Maker license for very little, or I think Autodesk Fusion 360 is an option also...at least in the US. I've heard good things about FreeCAD also but I haven't ever used that. Blender is a mesh-based non-parametric modeler (yes, I know there's a mechanical design add-on, but why bother with lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig?); all the professional mechanical design software packages I am familiar with do not use that paradigm, they simply start with a 2D parametric shape you define and then transform by extruding or revolving (or other things) to create a 3D body. Easy peasy. Just my 2 krone...
Honest question, wouldn't that firewood wall be the perfect hotel for all sorts of bugs, including scorpions? Is there any way to treat that wood so they don't make a huge infestation inside?
I'm enjoying this. Very nice. Also want to say Merry Christmas to you and yours, Jesper. One more thing, most hot glue will release with a drop of denatured alcohol.
Was expecting some timber framed connections into the posts😘. The problem with the 3d printing is that all these filaments have a way higher environmental impact then claimed and in general are not recycable due to the fillers added for the 3d printing process. Even though pla is partly made from renewable resources it is more efficient to make it with more man made materials and the drops used are never under really good conditions. The wodden wall for example stores less co2 then the shipping of the filament caused. Just as a side note. Personally like the wooden lamp, but karin agreed for the new one. Hurah for stroopwafels.
very cool. I always wanted a 3d printer and then haven't even looked into one haha..could you lasercut transparent plastic? or semi transparant acryllic or polycarbonate? I don't know just wondering
I was on the fence about this, but it looks great! I wonder what it would look like with the frame made of wood and the petals made with different color acrylics? Has anyone done that?
Looks like the Master Plan paid off, Jesper! Not surprised at all. If (when) I get up my bravery, I'm going to use the files to cut the lamp out of clear acrylic. Interesting color combinations ... maybe?! I need to know more about this auto-adjust slot sizes in Lightburn. Did I hear that part right?! Cheers and 2025-plus blessings in the new year to you.
The wood wall looks very nice, maybe some glass in-front of it would be best though. Else you might have just created a bug haven, in your lounge room.
When i saw the Instagram post i thought the wall was thin sliced veneers. I kept waiting for you cut slices off the firewood...but nope. Full thickness only for Jesper! 😂
I love the transparent lamp and the wood wall. One issue with the wall for me though is, are you losing access to plugs now that the wooden wall is up? Happy Christmas btw Jesper to you and all the family. Looking forward to the chair build.
I have to applaud your deep knowledge. Staring at IT equipment like it owes you money is a little-known IT support technique, usually only practised by experienced operators out of sight of mere mortals. After all who wants to reveal their deepest secrets to the uninitiated!! It's bad enough that the mantra of "Turn it off, turn it on again" has reached a wider audience...
I loved the wooden lamp but she had a point that it defeats the purpose of the shade being wood. As a piece of art it is gorgeous but lacks functionality. You Sir are an Artist!
Great project and nice to see you embracing technology. I use it to make quick jigs. A question for you. What did you create your laser cut files in? You might find that you can use that software to extrude 2D into 3D. I use Onshape for 3D modelling that does not need to be organic. Last observation, you have covered 2 power sockets so the wall may not be "Wife Approved" for long 🤣
Hi,... I noticed that sometimes you have the wrong printing plate. The protrusion must be in the back, it's where the print head cleans up. The lack of cleaning can cause problems.
Normally that transparent pla should work on that printer. maybe the dimensions of the spool wernt ok? Then you can roll it on another spool using a drill or feed it without the AMS
Thats great Jesper, but not all has the money for that bamboo model! (And did you get two🤔) But none the less, it turned out great 😎👍 Glædelig jul fra Frederikshavn🎅🏼🎄
Welcome to the 3d printing world Jesper!!! PC is a bit advanced filament to work with.. I just wished you did not use the build plate as a mat while gluing the pieces. heheheh. Good luck and it's new world of adventure, I will be looking forward to more content with woodworking x 3d printing...
Well done you deserve a malt , nothing wrong what you’re drinking but try Port Charlotte islay single malt. Best wishes to you and your family this Xmas
genius move with the firewood wall! Great video as always!
2nd video of the morning that has helped me just get re-started 🎉 that’s was awesome mate
What was the other video Dainsey?
@ Barbers Paddock new one
@@dainermade Great video too
Love your dry sense of humor...nice job on the wall and lamp....glad to see you got your approval....Happy Holidays!
Great video, the wall looks amazing

I’ve always used hairspray instead of glue stick. But found Buildtak and use their sheets exclusively now.
As someone who has also just gotten into 3d printing you have summed up my inner monologue about how I feel perfectly. Thankyou for another amazing video. Cant wait for the palletwood egg chair.

Yay, a new Jesper video! This is a great Christmas gift!

I love this so much! It would also look cool with light green transparent petals!
Love your videos Jesper ! Always inspirational and humorous . Thanks for all the good work you do
Pallet wood Egg chair????? Heck YES, great vid

Great video
The lamp was good the first time and you have just made it even better, Jesper. Well done and Happy Christmas
Holy crap, Jesper! Let there be light! What a light! Looking forward to the chair! Merry Christmas to you and all!
Well done Jesper! I love the 3D printing stuff. Fascinating, and the wall is pretty cozy. Merry Christmas my friend 😊
Such an awesome project! I really appreciate that you show your whole process and thanks for sharing the files with us. 🤓
This was such a fun video. As always, you have done a great job. Thank you, Jesper, and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Love love love this!! Perfect backdrop wall idea for that stunning lamp design. Super impressive!!
Wow the wall and the lamp really turned out beautifully 😍 i truly love your videos. Keep up the great work.
I was just about to say you no the pallets and our favourite Australian is gonna be hating you right about now then you dropped the pallet egg chair 😮😮 the internet needs you to do this jesper. Amazing video and glad it got the approval of the wife. Hope your well mate have great Christmas and we need get catch up in new year 🫡🏴👍
I like the pattern of light and shadow the lamp puts out. Very cool lamp and magnificent wall!!!
Wow I love it!!! It looks amazing and I love the wall!! You are a joy to watch and its even better to know your efforts are endorsed by your wife and daughter! I hope you all have a very Merry Xmas and New Years. I can't wait to see more of your videos in the New Year. ❤❤❤❤
Jesper very nice project overall, and I do love your story telling.
It's fantastic. And beautiful wood wall. Love it. I would LOVE to have a 3d printer now
You continue to inspire Jesper! AWESOME build! Merry Christmas from Alberta Canada! 🎅🏼

You’re a legend and a maniac Jesper 😂 this might be my favorite video on your channel! Merry Christmas!
I just love your sense of humour, this was so enjoyable to watch!
Welcome to the world of 3D printing! The possibilities are almost endless. Don't let the bad filament experience turn you off of trying different brands!
Love it!Merry Christmas from down under.
That is oh so cool. The contrast against the wood wall is genius! Congratulations on raising the bar for wife pleasing. Gotta do it!
Wow that’s so cool loving the wall and that beautiful lamp
Awesome, Jesper! Love that you are embracing modern technology whilst still keeping the natural wood elements there. The lamp is really beautiful 😍 well done
Great video. I am looking forward to see the video of the chair. Great job
Great Light project Jasper, I agree a 3D printer is a fantastic addition to a workshop,

I love your lamp so much. I’ll download the file with appreciation even I have no idea how to 3d print! lol. from Japan
Jesper, you seriously came a long way and made big improvements in the last two years or so.
I only have a handheld router to help me make this. Dose anyone have any tips or pointers?
Thanks! Cool work!
Awesome!!! PLA will eventually warp with the heat from the light but the PC parts should be fine. I think most people would recommend PETG or maybe ABS to withstand the heat, even though it's a small amount of heat.
Pretty cool man and what a coincidence. I just bought the same printer for my wife for Christmas. Can't wait to see it work
Wow - looks incredible! Awesome stuff :)
The lamp turned out awesome! 🔥 Merry Christmas, Jesper! 🎄
You covered up your outlets...❤ Merry Christmas 🎄
Wow that turned out really nice! Really cool idea with the wall, great way to get some acoustic treatment without it showing.
Haha Jasper brilliant video. Husband now put the 3D on his Letter to Santa. However the pinecone lamp would be great like a bundle of several of different sizes. Each with its own bulb and hanging as a chandelier. Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
❤❤ so cool 😎 look great Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year 🎉🎉🎉
Love the background. I would expect a bunch of creeping creatures coming out of it though 😊
Hey Jesper, the lamp is beautiful, and I even loved the wood one too. Woodworker watching from Australia

I'm enjoying this. Very nice. Also want to say Merry Christmas to you and yours, Jesper. One more thing, most hot glue will release with a drop of denatured alcohol.
Very cool the lamp came out beautifully
The core could mybe also be milled from brass sheets? and the petals from acrylic?
Gorgeous!!!!
Great job.
Also Pla is made of corn.
At least most of the sorts.
12:47, do not touch bed with fingers, finger grease will negatively affect bed adhesion.
“I might start talking to her again soon” 😂🤣😛
Holy Wowsa Jesper it’s absolutely stunning!!!😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💜
Oh yes, the wood wall is also gorgeous!!!
Wood veneer might be a good material for this lampshade. If it’s thin enough then light could pass through while showing off the wood grain.
Wow the transparent version is really spectacular
OMG. Great idea for a wall. Except after time and huge quantities of dust collecting in and around the logs. And spiders.
Was expecting some timber framed connections into the posts😘. Flot arbejde Jesper, der er endda træarbejde med i videoen -ihvertfald træ med... lækkert design..! 😉🤗 Glædelig jul til Jer alle..! Karl.
Fabulous!🎉
Beautyfull!!❤
very cool. I always wanted a 3d printer and then haven't even looked into one haha..could you lasercut transparent plastic? or semi transparant acryllic or polycarbonate? I don't know just wondering
Jesper, I think you're putting the build plate in sideways. Unless it's different on the P1S?
En riktigt fet hifi anläggning där nu Jesper! Vintage Jbl med en liten pioneer 1980 på en egentillverkad bänk. ❤❤❤
I was on the fence about this, but it looks great! I wonder what it would look like with the frame made of wood and the petals made with different color acrylics? Has anyone done that?

After 23yrs as an IT Tech for the RAF, I can confirm the staring it into submission technique has worked more often than it should lol
Maybe? MAYBE?? Definitely! 👍
Happy Xmassy thing from our family Downunder to you and yours in Denmark. See you next year, everybody! 👍

That lamp is fantastic but it would look even better in wood + PLA.
For the wall, have you considered cutting the firewood, save some depth and money?
nice one Jasper
Den er skideflot, Jesper, og væggen er også super. Glædelig jul!
Hi,... I noticed that sometimes you have the wrong printing plate. The protrusion must be in the back, it's where the print head cleans up. The lack of cleaning can cause problems.

dude u super glued it on ur build plate =0 were u able to get that off? btw everything came out soooo nice!!!!
Well done you deserve a malt , nothing wrong what you’re drinking but try Port Charlotte islay single malt. Best wishes to you and your family this Xmas
The lamp looks great - but we need the egg chair!
Your daughter's reaction is amazing!! Great job Jasper!
Good job Jesper, agree with your wife on the before and after
